ok the Fox's are in. Just to be fair, I actually didn't mind the ride of the stock suspension. it was a tad rough for stock (im assuming that is because the 17 coil rate is up in the 700 range). I can honestly tell a difference in this setup already just driving it home. Its not quite as bumpy and harsh riding down the road and soaked up about 10 speed bumps on the way very nice. I will get a little offroad in soon and report back..... so far very happy, but early yet!

Running 6112 at 6/5 clip (2"), but with a steel bumper, 650 eibach springs and jba UCA. It's like driving on train tracks and the ride is 110xs better than stock. No complaints of the ride at all, rides far superior to the 610 springs it came with for my setup.

I know this is an old thread but I wouldn't even bother with a fox 2.0 setup. If it was a fox 2.5 different story.

Ride 'feel' is super subjective. It sounds like for your setup with some weight up front, you do need some stiffer coils. I have zero armor at this point and if I add any down the line it will most likey be aluminum.

I personally don't want to feel like I'm riding on train tracks. I like a little body english and really like the stock OR suspension feel. It doesn't make me fee like I need to see a chiropracter after every speedbump or railroad crossing (yes I mentioned on road obstacles as my vehicle spends 95% of its time on pavement). The OME lift with Dakars I had on my 2nd gen was a bit harsh for my tastes while on road.

With all that being said, I still have placed an order for the 2nd Gen Pro suspension. Its basically 6112/5160s with no adjustment up front. I'm expecting about 1-1.5" of lift from the coilovers, will likely add some 3 leaf progressive AALs in the rear and I'll hopefully maintain as much of the stock OR suspension 'feel' as possible.

What I meant by train tracks is that it drives in a straighline and doesn't wander at all. The 6112 is the same as it was before the modification I did. It eat potholes and bumpy roads with ease.

Anyone running the Fox 2.0 Performance Series on a 2018? Considering the coilovers up front and the external reservoirs with CD adjuster in the rear. Thoughts, experiences?

ok here is a couple pics with the new fox 2.0 coilovers (set ¼ high in front for settling and future weight), 4 runner trail edition rims (picked them up for $325 of craigslist without a single scratch!) and new 255/75 17 yokohama all terrains (G015....38 pounds which is damn light for this size)......loving it!!!!![IMG][IMG]

6112 has a zinc coating not powder coating so that should make all the difference!

So at the end of the day you would pick the 6112 over the 2.0?

Z_randall, post:So at the end of the day you would pick the 6112 over the 2.0?

IMO i would for factors such as cost & a massive 2.65" body, besides Bilstein has been in the game for a very long time and produce many suspension-systems for a lot of OEM applications. Now if cost wasn't an issue i may have gone with Fox.
My reason for going the Bilstein route is as mentioned above and leaving room for a lot more upgrades coming...

I would never get a 2.0 coilover...that’s just me. Spend the extra money on 2.5” setup. So 6112 all day

Just 650 eibach cools and jba UCAs
