Nice thread! I'm running MB 352 16x8.5 with -6 offset and 4.50 backspace with 265/75. But I want to buy some 285s and install them on a new set of wheels. Doing that, I can exchange tires whenever I want.

I have some Pro Comp wheels 16x8 with 0 offset 4.5 bs with 285/75/16 tires and it clears everything so those should be good.

    Two questions for you:
    1) Are you running a lift? Im guessing you are w/ 285's, if so what lift?
    2) Do you have after market UCAs?

I've had very bad experiences with American Racing. Their clear coat/paint is not very good for Canadian winters and 2 sets on our Sequoia looked like trash after two years. The tire shop I go to now no longer carries them because of all the customer complaints with peeling.

Yes, my truck has 3" lift with OME nitrocharger shocks with 885 coils and some add-a-leaf in the rear. It also has the SPC UCA's which add some adjustability as well. These were already installed on the truck when I got it. It also had some coil spacers up front but I didn't like the cv angles and removed them. I also made some adjustments to the UCA's and it rides a lot better now.

Black matte wheels shouldn't come with any clear coat... I guess. Anyway, I live in Florida and all we have it's a lot rain and very aggressive sun. :D

Good question, are there any good pictures showing the difference from stock?

Edit: I see on their website it says 17" wheels and max backspacing of 4.75 so the 16x8 might not clear those spindles.

My black wheels faded a lot during the summer and I just got around to doing a good cleaning and fresh wax on them and they still look pretty decent. Between the brake dust and sun, you couldn't even recognize the wheels.

Yep! I have -6 offset and 4.5 backspace on my current 16" wheels. The truck is lifted 4" with Maxtrac and they clear the calipers well, not perfect, but well enough. Now what I don't understand is how these AR wheels are sold like +0 offset with 4.5 backspace????? What's the difference between offset and backspace?

Offset and backspace correlate directly to each other. If you google it there are good diagrams and descriptions of how it works.

Are your wheels 16x8.5 instead of 16x8?
