I believe they are always on.
Same thing with my Tundra. For that reason I don’t have the mirror programmed.
Not sure if there is a way to change it.

Programming it was easy but have since disabled it too. Seems that older models with Homelink were more secure. Thanks for confirming.

The home link is just like a remote control from your opener. It will always work. If you don’t park in your garage. Don’t program it to work.

Just curious what you had to do to replace the mirror. How is it attached to the glass?

Took 10 mins for me. And yes, with the stock wiring, it is wired as constant power for the opener so it works even with the truck off.

The switch is from Air On Board, my garage door remote works on 12 volts dc, so I hard wired it in behind the dash and soldered the switch to the opener circuit board. If you have an opener that uses anything other than 12 volts dc you will need a voltage converter.

That's what I have in mine. It is not a direct fit for either the stubby or "large" switch holes. I got the caliraised switch panel and had to do some dremel'ing of it to get the switch to fit. I much prefer it over the mirror and I can take the switch out at will and put it in my pocket if I'm doing stuff outside and feel lazy about using the side door to get into the garage. It's probably my favorite "mod", especially since I use it every day.

I'm going to put my mirror in this evening, got a homelink mirror from Bob. I do like the switch your using but if I had known about it I would have gone this route and I prefer it to be in the overhead console.

The mirror (from bob) that i bought for my 2020 had an addon that turned off the power to the mirror when the truck is turned off. I like it.

Add on? Isn't it just a matter of whether the mirror is attached to switched power vs always-on power?

minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
Most modern garage door openers (like mine Chamberlaine) have an option to lock garage door. Pushing and holding "lock" button on garage wall control unit,
until light starts flashing rapidly will cancel all RF remotes, except touchpad and wall control unit itself. Check this out.

There is a harness adaptor that is used on certain models to turn off power when the truck is off. I am not the SME here but it said I needed it on the site so I got it and it works well. On a side note it also works well in supplying power to my dash cam.
