So we bought a travel trailer a week ago. It is pre wired for wireless, but was wondering if anyone has tied one into the head unit.

What I’m looking for is something that automatically engages when the truck is put in reverse..... *or* engages when a button is pushed on the dash. It seems doable with some of the stuff I’ve seen, but wondering if anyone has done it and how you went about it.

    Thank you!

The head unit supports aux video input, just wire the camera to that, then enable the aux input ( jumpering two wires I believe), then Any time you want it, just select aux input on the head unit. (Aux input is audio and video, so headunit will have no sound when you select it.)

The wiring info is on this site if you search.

    Edit.
    Here you go.

If you don’t want to wire the harness this product would work for you, instead of a front camera you can wire in the camera from the trailer.

This was my install about it. Easy

Thank you both! I'll read up on these suggestions. Now to find a 'Trailer Cam' switch :)
