Just ordered my new audio system, ordered the jbl 6x9 components along with the 20m 2 inch mid range.

Plan is to put the 6x9 in the stock spot, tweeter for it in the sail panels and the 20m in the stock tweeter location.

Should give me a nice 3 way component set that looks factory. I chose the jbl because they have a tweeter grill has a chrome ring that matches the HVAC vent rings.

I would of gone with the infinity version, but they use a rose gold looking ring that would clash bad with the rest of the interior, but their tweeter/mid-range are black, the jbl is orange... Though the orange shouldn't look bad since my truck is orange.

Only thing I'm a little worried about is that the speakers are listed as 2 ohms. Though I should be able to get past this by wiring the mid-range and the components together to a 4 ohm load.

Lol! If I put one more thing in my mod pile I'm going to have to build a garage........., to live in! :goingcrazy:
It's kind like buying a new firearm. My wife doesn't know a whole lot about them but she darn sure knows a new one when she sees one!

I hear that. Doesn’t help when my 5 year old snitches on me as I’m installing something. She came home today while I was installing vent shades, son goes “he’s working on the truck with a big box that just came.”

So hold on a second! I live in Arizona and use the AC constantly and usually smell water burning (if that makes sense) when I park somewhere. Could that smell be linked to the ac drain line dripping on the frame? I’ve had my toy since June and still learning things about it.

It should be evaporating pretty quickly if you’re in AZ, but it could also be the only water your frame is consistently seeing. There’s a thread all about it here.

Here in Texas, we leave puddles when we stop at traffic lights.

Ballpark of $4k... I’m guessing he has or is going to get new leaf packs too, so we’ll just say $4500-$5k... without adjusters, you’re looking at about $700 less for King fronts and rears

Wonder what it could be, thank you for the link. I will try that mod out and see if the smell goes away.
