What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Installed some switches in my dash today, really liking the L-series switches from otrattw..

 

What are people running for bump stops. Realizing I need to get that figured out after seeing a buddy de arch one his this weekend. I have 3.5 lift in the rear from alcan.

 

Just grabbed durobumps from Toyotabumpstops.com they seem pretty legit..

My wife's mother gave us a box of her old camping stuff from when she used to camp back in the 70s, mostly stuff I don't really care to use but there was a Coleman stove in mint condition just like the one you have there. I'm pretty excited to use it

Well I was at Timmy the toolmans bbq yesterday and I scored the rears for free in a raffle they were the 5.25” ones (3rd gen 4runner) meant for a 2”+ lift. Just ordered the fronts this morning.

Edit I think you should probably go for the 4.25” ones, if you scroll down in the description it shows what all the different sizes are for.

 

I've gotta go thru these and check them out. But man I love my Coleman lanterns and 2 burner stove. also scored a Blackstone tailgate combo at tractor supply on clearance for 129.00. Way too much camping stuff this weekend..lol

Do you have an AFR gauge? I'd do a boost gauge in one and AFR in the other, probably the 2 most important ones to have.

Went night wheelin, hit good amounts of slick off camber twisty trails with a light dusting of snow. Prepping for the Thanksgiving week year down on the truck. Al Radiator and hoses,trans cooler, U joints,Tundra brakes, abs delete, Bushings, fluids, Plugs Coils, Wires, Am I Missing anything.

 

Nah, on full compression your tires will tuck into the wheel wells like they’re supposed to. Functional stance looks way tougher on trucks than bro-stance.

I'm not into wide bro stances either but with those wheels it's narrower than stock. Too much backspacing on those wheels for 1st gens.

 

Working on doing the Big 3 upgrade and installing my Artec battery box and PC1400.



I was think about where I could mount a second battery in the engine compartment. I'd like to get it in the passenger side somehow but the ideal place is taken up by the airbox. Has anyone relocated the airbox somehow to accommodate a second battery in that location?

I’ve seen a fair amount put one in the back left of your photo. From what I can recall, you really only have to relocate the cruise control forward a little bit and you should have enough room
