Installed the BAMF ECO grill. Rattle canned the insert with machine gray rustoleum to make the letters pop a little.

Entune features were turned off for all 2016-2017 and I am pretty sure 2018 models. Don't know about 2019 models. This MAY have something to do with your problem. While Canadian radios look identical to US models, the software is different. The current Entune 3.0 is not backward compatible either.

The app is downloadable from your app store or google play, which ever system you prefer.
You can use a generic Bluetooth adapter which I already had, or you can order the actual Carista adapter. With this link
https://caristaapp.com/adapter. it looks like you pay 20 dollars for the adapter and get 1 month trial.

Did some tinting yesterday on the fog lights using VVIVID Air-Tint Gold Yellow (Amber). Went on pretty well, definitely need a heat gun to apply evenly. I am going to attempt to tint the headlights with VVIVID’s Smoke Black. The shape of the headlight is pretty tough but I think I can do it. Will post pics of that next week or so. Let me know what you think.

Had the pleasure of replacing a rear bumper cap on my ‘18 after accidentally backing my truck into a brand new car at a dealership. So I’m paying to repair TWO cars. Yay me. At least mine was any easy fix.

I love my Tacoma but I will NEVER buy another car or truck without backup sensors.

I’m seriously considering the Carista app, but do you think that it is worth the $20.00, plus subscription fee?

I usually run Torque Pro(Android) for all my engine data, so really Carista was only used to make changes the dealer said couldnt be changed. I already had the adapter so the 10 dollar week pass was worth it for me. It really depends on what you want to use it for.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
A good point, I will have to look into it. There are all types of water storage containers for emergencies, like a bag that's meant to go in your bath tub or a bladder like this:

    upload_2018-11-7_7-37-23.jpg

It's a lot easier to dispose of water than sand when spring comes around. Downside: No sand to use for traction.

This is the first time I've had a tonneau over the bed. Last couple of trucks I used the snow ballast system. It snows, roads are iffy but bed is now full of snow, it warms up, roads are fine now, snow in bed melts so no extra weight to haul around when it's not needed. Perfect.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
That blows! If it makes you feel any better. I bought my GF an ‘89 FJ60 for her bday a couple years ago. The truck was a gold mine, no dents and grey paint was perfect. She took it out and stuffed it into the back of a Chinese guy driving to Kroger. The FJs Bumper, Grill and good got smashed. She only had the truck for 2 hours.
Strangely enough nothing happens to the SUV she hit in the rear tire carrier. Well, I wasn’t there but No Way did it not damage that SUV. I think it caved in the whole rear hatch panel and he just could not see the damage because it dispersed it across the entire rear door.

Water will shift front to back, back to front and side to side, sand tubes won't. I'd be more concerned with water than with sand when braking and cornering. JMO :jerkoff:
