    This and that...
Got that lift installed. 885’s up front and Dakars in the rear. Had to cut the sway bar off but rides great without it.

    Other things I learned:

    - Alignment cam bolts need replacement
    - Top bolt of the rear shock had to be cut too, wasn’t enough at the top to hold onto with the wrench when the nut came up and the rust was holding it back.
    - It takes two to get the steering knuckle bolts back in.
    - The third bolt in the back of the front shock, if rusted is also a pain in the ass.

All in all it was a good experience and stoked to have help from a friend. Happy to report no vibrations yet, but still planning on installing the ECGS bushing at some point. For me, the 885s and Dakars pair up nicely with the 265/70/17’s. Be nice to get a bit or a wider stance though. Wheels next year possibly.

I am doing this soon as well. One thing I am struggling with in my mind is making sure the high hat bolts are in the correct orientation to the bolt hole at the bottom of the strut. How do you do that? Can the strut be turned under tension somehow in order to line up the bottom bolt?

Go with LEDs. You can run as many as you want and not have to worry about overload

Yep, just put something in the bottom eyelet and twist. Takes a bit of force but with spin.

Ah, got it. Thanks. I'll try to assemble it as closely as possible and just fine tune it by twisting the strut with a big screwdriver or something.

Think I used a 3/4 ratchet extender, something with rounded edges. Big screwdriver should work.
