    What is TSB? I am currently running 1.04b on 04B12. I’m seeing a lot about 1.04 and 1.04R. When did these drop? Can I run 1.04R on 04B12 Ecu? I am 6MT btw.

    TSB (Toyota service bulletin) updates you from 04b12 to 04b13. 1.04r is the tune for the TSB. 1.04r only runs on 04b13

    If you ask nicely. Some dealers will hassle you about it and not want to do it, others have it done no problem. Just mention the issues listed in the TSB and they "should" update it for you.

    So dealer won’t do it because they say my vin isn’t coming up for any recall that requires a reflash. I asked them if they could just flash it to 04b12 anyway, very nicely I may add, and they said that is a no go. They only flash if it is necessary to fix a problem.


    What is the newest flash for 04B12?

    Yea that seems to be what happens. It isn't a recall - its a TSB and a lot of dealers don't seem to pay attention to them. The TSB that was posted is primarily for the Auto (to make the slush box better) but it also has updated calibrations for the MT. 04b13 is the latest for the MT

    When I had my auto, it was a battle to get them to flash it, I printed off the TSB and told them the issues I was having (all the ones listed in the TSB), after that they updated it. With the MT, I just did it myself.

    You just used techstream and the drivers from tactrix? Can I just plug into my Ecu using my connector from ov tune? Sorry for all the questions, just looking to get that surge issues fixed and tw is always more helpful than the dealership.

    Yea the process is outlined in the other thread. If you've got everything installed to flash OVT, you can skip all the driver install part of the instructions. You just change the interface in TS to the tractrix device.
