    Refund or exchange aren’t options.
I will replace the bearings with warranty replacements from the manufacturer.
My stipulation is that they are not visually damaged simply because the manufacturer will not accept visually damaged items. I will require pictures of both assemblies’ bearings for confirmation before authorizing return.

And your some random guy that doesn't have a great history of mechanical ability and a history of badmouthing whomever you see fit.

Remember that time you ruined a trans with 56k by changing the fluid incorrectly?

Or that time you wrote 530 words bitching about a light rack?

My guess is that your haircut looks something like this.

    Have you made any moves?
You’ve pretty much been exposed and no way in hell two new Koyo bearings failed at same time immediately after install due to manufacturing defects, you fucked up the install.
You need to cancel the false PayPal disput by COB today or I’m not extending a good faith repair, as you’ve shown no good faith but instead libel and slander.

The disconnect between me and bren5279 is he wanted a refund and my policy is to replace factory defective bearings with warranty replacements from the manufacturer. I had not previously published my policy because I never needed to, maybe that's the good that comes of this.

I repeatedly offered bren5279 a good faith bearing replacement per my policy but he refused it by continuing with his false PayPal claim.
Everyone who reads the past two pages should know they judged against him.

I offer assemblies pressed with the highest quality parts, I do not manufacture them. I guarantee my work, you will receive a properly pressed assembly. I offer a fair policy to replace defective bearings by chance it happens.

Personally, I'm done with all this nonsense. I get it - shit happens. You both have made your point. While this really has been entertaining, let's move on. TW ain't the place for cat-fights.

I see 19 pages of a good product and happy customers, then one problem with one guy... Lemme just say I have never seen any product anywhere with 100% 5 star reviews. Ever.

So far this vendor (and his track record) has come as close to perfect as I need to make a purchase. OP, I will be contacting you in the next few day about getting myself some new assemblies!

Improper torque value will certainly cause a bearing to fail prematurely. 173 ft lbs is what we need. Since both went out on yours at the same time, I suspect this is the case. Or maybe your torque wrench needs calibration if you used one. That's my guess.

Do you sell just one side? Or only the two sets

I could but price wouldn't exactly be half - it won't have a second to share shipping costs with and it'd have to be worth my time.
Both sides take same wear so should be replaced at same time, you'll save money replacing both at same time.

Just installed both sides on my 4x4 while putting on new CV boots. I didn't think the bearings were bad but at 85k I figured I'd swap them out while the front was torn down. The truck drives considerably smoother now and what I thought was tire noise, was my bearings. Once off the truck, I was able to hear faint metal grinding when spinning the old hubs. So far I am happy but I've only got 50 miles on the new set. I'll update after a few hundred miles when I retorque everything.

Thank you for this service. It saved me time and money.

    Thanks for the feedback.
That was my personal experience too- I replaced bearings as part of the manual hub conversion and realized my truck had no tire noise, it was the bearings the whole time (I got it with 60k miles).

You bring up a great point, going back over the install and verifying torque after going down the road a few miles.

Those of us who have worked with these CVs know they can hang up at the back seal and may deceive us into thinking they are seated completely- a few miles down the road and they settle into place and now there's no torque on the bearings. This could destroy your bearings and rotors.

Thanks for mentioning that. Would be very easy to over look that even if I thought I installed it correctly.
