2005 - 2023 Archive Garage Premium Shackle Flip Lift Kit

Hey Henry the HH work great and still provide a lot of flex. I have mine paired with 12in kings though. Definitely a must for any tacoma in my opinion.

 

Yeah. I didn’t know as much back when I got these icons. Can’t see myself getting new shocks anytime soon. Can’t do shackle flip, but those HH look really nice.

 

Oooh, ooooh, me too!! I’m beefing up the rear and need your help. I cant decide on HH or the shackle flip. I do not plan on “overlanding”, strictly a moderate trail rig to have some fun driving in.
Here’s the breakdown:
stock leafs w/ icon AAL and icon 2.0 resi’s. In the future I do plan on going with your shock relocation and 12” kangs. I’m looking at buying some Dakars(el095r) here soon to help support my Bruteforcefab HC rear. What are your thoughts on me using these icons and Dakars? Which setup should I go, HH or SF?

 

I'd go HH. With stock springs, the Hammer hangers rode better than the shackle flip for me.

 

Ok. Now, I’m in the process of upgrading my leafs to the Dakars, do you still recommend HH’s?

I have a few more available from batch about to be powder coated which are about 2 week lead, after that 5 weeks

 

are you running spacers in rear with those wheels and tires? also, 2.0 or 2.5 smooth bodies?

 

Im running 1" bora wheel spacers on 2.0s

 

Is there a way to setup this shackle kit for an additional 1" on the drivers side to make up for the taco lean?

 

Nope, but you can handle it by having the driver front coil spring help the issue. Either crank the driver coilover or shim the driver coil spring.
Then for rear, put a 6" long 3/8" leaf under the driver's side pack

 

I've had the Archive shackle flip w/ 4" shackles for more than a year now on stock springs and have been happy with ride but needed to upgrade the rear to keep up with my front set up. Decided to go with the full Archive set up and Finally got the Archive SUA and Shock relocation with Fox 14" shocks installed and the Shackle flip w/ 4.75 shackles. Haven't had a chance to hit any dirt yet but stoked with the street ride so far. Thanks for all your help Eric @ARCHIVE and for answering all my questions. Your product is top notch man!

Don't mind the white splatter on the under carriage, it's from a paint can some douche left on a dirt road near my house.

For readers, this is the U644/645 (light duty) which are a good fit for the Access Cabs

Just to clarify, it seems the SUA Is most ideal for bump travel and higher speed wheeling, right? Not necessarily better for slower speed crawling type wheeling?

 

Right, SUA isn't better than SOA for crawling, but it still flexes well

 

Heres some flex...theres still a bit more drop left on driver side and room for more tuck on passengers side.

Just curious, but on a setup like this one what would be the pro/con of doing the shackle flip like this or doing the hammer hangers? If spring and shock remained the same. I'm looking to do a similar setup, SUA with the U644/645 and a 12-14" shock.

 

You definitely want the U644/645 for Access cab. Shackle flip will likely make a more compliant ride due to changing the installed rate of springs, and you get a bit more lift.

But for ultimate weight capacity, the Hammer hangers will not diminish spring capacity like shackle flip
