Shops to grease yur zerks!

Any shops in the Seattleish area that would grease my zerks, I have no clue how to do that.

 

Just buy a grease gun & do it yourself. It'll be cheaper that paying someone to do just 1 or 2 times. And you'll know if it was done right & with the correct grease. It's really easy. I would never pay a shop to grease zerks.

I'm sure there are threads here showing where. You can just crawl under & look for yourself too. Or ask & people will surely tell you where & how to if you have more questions. Seriously it's really easy & you'll be spending way much more money & time paying a shop to do it.

5 zerks in memory serves. Definitely something you should learn to do assuming you also do your oil changes

 

Sweet thanks! Now to figure out what kind of grease to use. Ya I do my oil, diff fluids, etc

 

Harbor Freight is your friend: From the pic, it looks like it might not come with a tip. Check that before you leave. One note when lubing spiders, you want more than just the hearing / seeing the first bit of purge. You want to see new grease coming out of all four seals.

@Kidwidataco Renton has that technical college in the highlands. Maybe they have an auto shop that need a hands on lesson in zerk greasing?

 

Hahah I work evenings weekends would be good. It shouldnt be too hard to do. I just need to find time to go buy a grease gun and grease and to do the work. I imagine it doesn't take long to do

It isn't bad at all. Just something different if you haven't done it before. I definitely learned a lesson after doing it for probably 35yrs. I wasn't getting a purge out of all four caps and had a couple joints fail on my old bike. They weren't high quality units to start with.

The only tricky one is the front shaft at the t case since you have to pull one small shield / skid.

I believe users manual recommends NLGI no 2 grease. That is what I bought and did all mine myself. It’s VERY easy & can prevent U-joint failures. I kept pumping until the dirty black old grease stopped coming out and the fresh grease I was pumping started coming out.
