Transmission. The latest tune is outstanding. Holds the higher gear up hills better, yet quicker to downshift when you mash the GO pedal. I caught myself yesterday suddenly doing 55 in a 40.

I was smiling ear to ear.

Not sure if it’s an actual TSB or just the latest tune. Mine was updated at a meet by a local TW member who has the equipment. Saved a bunch of us a trip to the dealer.

    Looking up details...

Found it John. @riz_atx pulled out his OVTuner and hit me with 0400.

There was a TSP for it, but I don’t have that number.

I out ran a f150 coyote through the 1/8 mile the other day. This is the 1st time I’ve ever got on it, it rared up like a wild stallion. I looked down, and it was in 3rd @ 95mph. I let off. He was pi$$ed that his 5.0 hyped coyote trailed through the 1/8. I know thru the 1/4 he’d smoke the 3.5, but I was totally impressed. If only they’d make a supercharger for our 3.5 :santa:

Welcome to the boards, glad you found something helpful. You will discover a lot more. And Tacos are as expensive as jeeps, but way more reliable.

No, it’s the C4 Fab low profile bumper with a WARN winch inside. It’s freak’n awesome! Pictures don’t do it justice. The fit makes it look like a factory product.

They all have the same fix (ECU calibration IDs) for different symptoms.

Finished up some bed storage today. Nothing extravagant but glad to have some organization!

Dados for movable partitions. For the coating I’ll use bed liner to (hopefully) waterproof them and tie them in visually to the bed. Going to weather strip the back of the drawer faces to seal against the box ends, and add a drip edge over the drawers.

    9FBC40B3-F1DF-4D55-BB72-4855CAE46735.jpg
Need to add a strip of wood to the underside of the side pieces to keep them flat:

Next version will be @Doozy4212 ’s drawers:

2nd UPDATE: Just over 500 miles since the TSB 0062-18 update and after a slow and progressive return the gear hunting is full on back. I will however say the stumble has not returned. Now I push the ECT button apon startup every time and I drive in S-3 while in town when speeds are below 40 and I keep it in S-5 on the highway pretty much ALL the time. 6th gear is decidedly useless unless you find yourself doing 90+. Sadly the TSB 0062-18 did not permanently fix my transmission issues. Might be time to spring for the OV tune which I'm hearing is the only true fix.

So what I did today was get back in a Taco! I had traded my 16 SR DCSB 2.7L for a 18 Ram 1500 back in March because I thought I needed a full size. Turned out I definitely don't need that extra size for the driving I do and I missed my Tacoma. So today I traded the Ram in for a 19 TRD Sport DCSB! I'm definitely enjoying the V6 compared to the old 2.7 and I'm so glad to be back in a Taco. Even with all the extra fancy stuff these 19s have it just felt familiar and right to be driving it.
