Georgia TW March 1st-3rd 2019 Camping Trip

Date has been set! March 1st - 3rd mark your calendars!

So since we haven't had a TW camping trip in some good time and I haven't been camping in months I figured it was time to knock out both. Plus we could get to meet some newer faces in the group. This is also 2WD friendly as we will most likely hitting FS roads and that's it

This would mainly be a camping trip with very little wheeling if any. More of set up camp drink, eat, play games, meet up and BS about rigs. Significant others are welcomed as well as kids but there may be some foul language throughout the weekend. Pew-pews may be brought but I doubt they can be fired but who knows. Dogs will also be aloud but please keep them on a leash of some sort.

1. If you are coming up Friday MORNING meet here at 9:30 AM and I'll take you up:

• • We'll be leaving around 10:15 am to head up to the campsite (unless everybody is accounted for). I'll try and post up if we have headed up. If you show up at the Church after 9:30 am and nobody is there, go ahead and head to camp as it's likely we've headed up.

I am game any month, so if I have to cast a vote to break a tie then so be it. Ahh screw it, I say late Jan or Feb.

 

Put me on the possible. I want to come see yalls rigs and meet the community. My work sched is totally unpredictable so I can't confirm but if I'm home, I'll be there. I'll also bring a fly rod or 2 if anyone else fishes.

 

Hatchet throwing, beer pong, corn hole all of those type of games haha

 

March 8th weekend I'm down.

Regardless, I’d like to get out and put some faces with familiar names

 

Sounds great! Feb would probably be better for me but other months aren’t a dealbreaker. The further we know in advanced the better just because of work scheduling.

I’d really like to check out Blue Ridge, but Helen leaves the possibility of hitting Tray or FS163 for those who want to off-road.

 

I’ll “close” the poll in a few weeks (read 2019) and go with whatever month has the most votes. Then open it back up to each weekend

If we camp in Helen we’d camp on one of the sides of Trey, I’d go up the weekend before and pick the correct site regardless of which campsite we pick

 

I'm in. I'll probably have 2 kiddos with me, but they're young and well-behaved.

If Trey is the destination makes my availability open up to come up - can do 1 night or for the day at least

 

I'm interested and know of some less common locales in Dahlonega that can support more than a few trucks. 2wd's would need a little help maybe.

pew pews are easy there with around a 350-400 yard range, or skeet. Fishing too.
