Yeah, you have the deflector cutout already though. I got mine without the cutout, which is pretty much all the $85 cost. If I had the cutouts, I could fab a set of brackets in my garage and be done. I'm trying to get a hold of my friend that has a CNC plasma cutter for his side business. May save some $ and make short work of the cutting.

Also, when function testing your light bar, do not stand directly in front of it when you hook the leads to the battery. It's quite bright.

Nice! Hope you can get ahold of him. Let me know if you can't or don't and I can get you measurements for the cutout if you're feeling steady with an angle grinder haha.

    Would NOT recommend

    Been there a few times.

I'll take those dimensions regardless. And yeah, 26,000 lumens point blank really does a number on your night vision.

Right. You need them for the CNC machinist. I will get those for you later on once I am home, sir. Got a reminder set in my phone.

Hey, was checking out your thread and had a couple questions, do your tires stick out to the side with the 285's and what fender flares are you using?

Wheel specs: 285/75/16's on 16x8 wheels with 4.5" backspacing. I am also running .75" Bora wheel spacers on all 4 corners.

Couple of small things done to the truck the last couple of days.

First, 4th AJT knob ordered, delivered and installed. It was ordered with a 4th (4WD) and final knob for @GARSHA91 after he received a 3 knob set from his TWSS. Saved some money on shipping too!!

We are working on making it backlit as well and I will be sure to document the steps.

Next, swapped out the shitty and worn out CB antenna spring with a new, snappy spring. No more droopy dick..er..uh antenna :drunk:

    AFTER

You can really see how worn it was in the after photo. And yes the old spring was a heavy duty rated spring also.

Hoping to end the year with a bang and get some new front suspension ordered. Working out all the details still...

Also, shout-out to Facebook for reminding me of the last time we actually had a decent sized group to wheel with and this particular event was a LOT of fun..too bad shit like this is more rare than a Jeep that isn't driven by a douchebag nowadays:

I've gotten use to smaller groups or just going by myself. I actually prefer the 3-4 truck groups over the large groups like that especially if everyone is on the same playing field as far as rig and comfort level.

    2013.

I guess it depends on the situation. To be honest, it starts at 10-12 people, then dwindles downs to 1-2 the actual day of the event. Most people know the park and are comfortable with driving it. As I said about the most recent event, 2 weeks before was a Offroad 101 "class" and then the event after was an invitation to get more people local to show up to get a reliable group to go more frequently.

Honestly, the worst part of it is that people want events, so we setup events, and then no one shows.

    FTFY.

Same. My brother just ordered the parts and I had no idea what was going on. Still don't, but we will figure something out.

That led ckt board that's for the early 2nd gens is slick I put one in my truck and really like it. Better than the poor fitting Hilux option.

I think this is the one you're talking about, but the switch alone is $60. The machined ring is $30. So figure ~$100 for the lighted switch.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/machined-ring-for-hilux-lighted-4x4-switch.451738/

The AJT know is $16.99 and the supplies we ordered were $11 and change IIRC. So, for less than the ring alone, hopefully we can figure something out that works well and decently lit.
