Any better pictures of the mounts? If it’s attaching to the factory holes in the double cab roof, I’m having a hard time picturing what is different.

Both Prinsu and Frontrunner Outfitters use the same mounting method of using the factory holes as well. The difference is they use the laser cut side rail to mount them to the roof, then their crossbars are bolted to that. RMR uses separate brackets that attach the crossrails to the roof with the side panel attached to the crossrails separately. It doesnt make contact with the roof at all.

Gotcha. So the RMR is limited to only two crossbars then?

Edit: three cross bars? And side plate is just for show.

You can put more than three on but those three are what distribute the weight. Additional bars attach to more bolt holes on the side plate similar to Prinsu.

Any pictures from above? I see you can adjust all but 3 crossbars but I have a moonroof and would like to not have a crossbar directly above it. I guess I could turn the supports more parallel to the side rails . Also do the side rails shake without support on the side rails down lower by the cab?

I like this better than the prinsu as the side rails go down further but I would only want to buy if I could get a matching rack for my camper shell .

Did RCI stop making these roof racks?
