just got a call, car is flagged as a total loss when the body shop sent their estimate in.

now ALFA will send their own adjuster to value the car before cutting a check.

needless to say i'm going to clean the inside out in the car because it's nasty with doggy hair and tools. lol more bang for my buck

 

Just had the 4th contractor come over to the house to look at work I want done. Biggest turd to this house looks like is going to be the electrical. Probably a full rewire on the home and then some..

 

I've been to your house. It's not that old. What's up with the wiring.

 

It was built in 62. Its pretty old. House is not grounded and majority of the wiring is old cloth wire.

 

Same as my moms house. Ill get to tackle that project soon enough for her and I'm not looking forward to it. Luckily, my grandfather built the house and it was done incredibly well so it will be a room by room project so it should go smoothly. Also, full basement and easy to get to wiring.

 

Yeah sucky for me the upper level of the home doesn't even have attic access at all. Idk we will see...but this guy was saying it could be upwards of 20k to have all the electrical fixed right. I did get a quote for 12.8k though from another for electrical.

 

I just been stirring pots. After my make too much money my damn Garage door page sent me a notification about all the new views. Lol

I put the Sumo Springs on today and wanted to get some opinions on the u-bolt torque.

I have read several places saying torque to 37 ft lbs and agree this is probably a typo. My thought- should be 73. So, that's what I started with on the first side. It felt a lot tighter that what I took off so I went to the other side (untouched from factory) and started at 37 and stepped up till about 55 where the bolt turned. With that info, I torqued everything to 60 ft lbs. Anyone have any experience that indicates I should go tighter?

I'm all stock on the suspension (minus the Sumo Springs).

 

255/80r17 or 285/70r17? Most likely going with the wildpeaks, but the ridge grapplers also keep calling my name.
