My ex-wife would always refuse to go camping. So finding someone to share that passion with is so important for me. Though, my daughter loves camping and has already done an interior Algonquin trip, part of my re-equipping for camping from the truck (ya know.... Overlanding )now includes one of those privacy tents and a cartridge toilet for her (lol, and she's going to be taught on how to clean the damn thing out!). Tried convincing her on using one of the funnel things they sell for women but she was utterly revolted by the thought of using that! hahaha

So that's why ARB marketing keeps talking about being compatible with the safety systems!! hmm Guess, I'm going to have to talk to Ski over at CT Motorsports about options then. At least the money will be going into a friend's canadian pockets :D

I am finally going to fill the holes in my fenders from when I took the flares off. :der: Not quite sure why I have waited so long.

Looking to find the exact part numbers or Amazon.ca listing for the 2 different flare clips. Some are orange, some are blue.

I can only find 1 part number, but Amazon shows me 2 different items, some orange, some blue. They have the exact same dimensions listed for the item descriptions.

Found the part number listed in this post...
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fastenal-fender-flare-clip-part-numbers.116491/

    Blue ones
    https://www.amazon.ca/FidgetGear-Fe...l+Flare+Moulding+Clips+For+Toyota+90904-67036

    Orange ones
    https://www.amazon.ca/Deole-Mouldin...l+Flare+Moulding+Clips+For+Toyota+90904-67036

I am going to be sanding the clips on the ends flat, and painting them orange or black. This is looking like the easiest way to fill those fender flare holes.

You cant use all 1 size of them because the holes are different sizes? Is this correct? They wont be for mounting flares, just filling the holes.

Wondering if a flat fender clip used to secure the engine slash guards would work.

Seems like a lot of work? I would expect there exist black flat clips with wide flanges that'll accommodate both sized holes? The types used for mudflaps, front grille, or closing the various frame holes in the front fenderwell.

Dunno, I'll have to ask him. Bumper is way further down on my upgrade list.
Though going by similar canadian sources it'll likely be in the 2400-3100 price range.

Single dad, and I'm trying to pay cash for my upgrades as I go, so bumper isn't until 2020 at the earliest.

I'm setting hard dollar figures for each calendar year for upgrades unless the OLG graces me with a win better than a free ticket!

    This year's purchases;
Custom Bedrack from @OverlandRacksOntario (which I literally JUST discovered my work email tossed his reply to me last week in a spam folder!! argh. So sending my deposit to him today)
    ARQAWD 270 awning
Firefly RTT from Wild Coast Tents
    Suspension upgrade from CT Motorsports

2020 will likely be Skids, sliders and maybe a bumper.

You would think, I have read a bunch of threads for this issue. Becuase the holes are slightly different sizes between the orange and blue clips other clips are all loose on some and wont fit on others.

I am not making up something out of nothing, it does seem like alot of work.. I cant find anything that will just fix it easy though.

@pete37 Your bumper didn't give you any issues with insurance? Because that bumper was my original plan for the truck.

I need to pick that kit from you, keep forgetting about it.

@pete37 I paid $78 for the bushing from Peter, can bring it on the next meet.

Since you are so concerned about insurance why don't you tell them your GVWR overweight?

The ARB bumper is tested at 40 mph(who drives that slow?!:D). The "airbag compatible" is also vague, because our (3rd gens) trucks are using accelerometer system which does not care what bumper you have up front, all it measures is the g-force applied to a truck from any direction. Simply put this way, ARB has money to purchase certificate vs small shops can't afford hundred thousand dollar piece of paper. The cost of replacing stock front plastic bumper is $102, but ARB looks cool, I agree. #overlandpoints
