Anyone try using a Kamp-Rite Original Cot in the Tacoma bed? Just wondering if it fits with tailgate down. (Short bed)

Since this trip picked up a bed tent and a 30qt pelican cooler to make trips a little better than using by backpacking set up.

I didn't go through all of your posts or anything, but how is the iKamper? I've done a little research on them and you're one of the first I've seen on Tacoma World that has one so I wanted to know your experience.

Honestly I love it. It is everything they advertise. Super easy to set up, easy to take down, I can sleep solo in any direction if I’m not perfectly level. Hard to convey but it’s huge inside and I like it’s aerodynamics. While it’s true off roading aerodynamics don’t factor much, but most of us have to drive hundreds of miles to get to amazing places. I can keep my zero degree bag and 2 pillows inside. Two things I like less, the shoe rack is hard to access while sitting at the top of the ladder, the foam mattress is not super thick. I’m ok with it, but many complain about it.

I really like this tent a lot

Well, get rid of that mattress and get you a nice one: https://www.mattressinsider.com/memory-foam-rv-mattresses.html They will cut it any size you want. I got one 48x55 for my rear seat delete bunk (diagonal lay is 72-73") and man is it comfortable. Fold down the middle of the 55 length to be 24x55 during the day. They are quick too. About five days to my door. Freight paid.

If the mattress is too thick it won’t close. But that’s a great link

Since I got the camper shell installed right before New Year's, I did a nice (cold!) camping trip to Moab for the New Year - camped near Island in the Sky then headed down to Lake Powell (Lone Rock beach was pretty darn deserted). Last weekend went to Mojave National Preserve (Hole in the Rock campground was not crowded and so nice) in the drizzle/fog. Made for interesting canyoneering trip! Camping was good. Can't wait for more in 2019!IMG-3546.jpg IMG-3548.jpg IMG-3617.jpg IMG-3620.jpg IMG-3694.jpg
