Info on "TOYOTA" grille

Does any company make a replacement grille for the 2nd generation trucks with the word "TOYOTA"? Thanks,

 

Not that I know of, I think all of those would be satashi grille mods with the plastic toyota emblems attached to the front... like mine.

 

Not that I know of. You might have to buy a grille of your choice and then go on ebay and buy a OEM FJ40, FJ60 or the new FJ Cruiser emblem.

I would highly reccomend this if it appeals to you. Grillcraft MX series, with "TOYOTA" badging added. (upper and lower) an easy install, prepare to spend 300.00

 

When you say easy, is it bolt on; or do you need to cut stock grille?

 

You have the option of cutting the grille or not, but I suggest cutting it, its easy (if I can do it anybody can). Along those same lines, it depends on if it is recessed or not. You can also get a metal mesh from customcargrills.com , that is a less expensive way to go about it.

The emblem is bolt on though.

You will need to cut the stock grill, its really easy with a saws all. Just take your time and work slowly. Pay close attention not to cut any of hoses or punch the radiator with the saw. The screws to secure the grill can be challenging to install. It can all be done without removing the grill from the hood. Best of luck and let me know if I can help. One suggestion, do the upper and the lower.... I am glad I did.

thanks boyd i just ordered one from parts geek for like $42 and i got some mesh coming from another member on here....
hey how did that happen anyway

 

i used a sheet of expanded metal for my Grille and coated it with black. then de badged the little TOYOTA emblem from the tail gate and added it to the corner of the Grille. expanded metal saved me a lot of dough and with withstand more punishment than the over priced Grillecraft.

total Grille cost was about 35 bucks including materials.

This is like the cleanest looking satoshi I've seen. great job with the individualized TOYOTA letters looks CLEAN!!!!!
