That's a good possibility on these. 16 and 17s were know for bad body mount bushings.

Pretty sure one collective brain cell fuels Toyota dealers.

    Update

Got it checked with the shop I deal with
No play in rack etc everything is tight. As I turned he felt all different points trying to find it. He found you feel it most in the uca

    Basically it's the uniball.
Thinks it might be because if the amount of dirt etc that's being held by the fluid film so he said try washing it.
No play in the uniball yet so its just starting.

Guess total chaos UCA aren't a fan of Canadian winters lol
It's just the uniball is loading with pressure and the clunk is it letting go and moving finally

If it gets worse just replace uniball

Haven't confirmed 100% but thinking it's the uniballs

I did have it checked by a steering shop and they said the rack is perfectly fine. This was after Toyota told me I need a new rack but wouldn't warranty it because of the lift.

Steering shop found yes there is movement in the inner tie rod and rack but they said there has to be some in the back lash otherwise the rack and pinion would just bind up.

Shop told me 'don't worry about it right now and dealer are just idiotic cunts. There's nothing wrong it's normal for mechanical parts to make noise'

The shop I go to is two older guys grumpy cunts but they know their shit. Only shop I've found that can do a good alignment with my lift etc and many recommend them.
