That's how my Crosstour was. AWD is very capable in snow, and in the right vehicle, economically a great choice.

I was zipping around everyone on 495 and 50 yesterday. It was me and whoever was in that red taco.

We went to Idaho/Utah this summer and rented a Crosstrek. My wife was at the Subaru dealer as soon as we got home. It did really well in this past snow!

Still stock with geolanders on it too. I'm curious how it would handle with BFGs

Hmmm, Cooper makes the maxx in 215/85r16 which is 30.4”x8.5”. That’s only 1.5” taller than what comes stock on a Subaru Outback. I wonder if I could squeeze those under one.

Anyone on here wire up a switch pro. I have the power tray with everything to go, but could use some pro tips if anyone has ever installed one.

I'm not sure but I believe @EatSleepTacos has and I was just talking to a friend of mine about this the other day, named Brett, @Parker315. I am sure there are threads for them though. Me, I am useless. I know squat.

Hey Jeremiah! Whats going on my friend. @RobP62 thanks for the tag as always

So, I did just wire up my switch pro and I also used the PowerTrays panel. I'll share with you some of my photos and some of the materials I suggest to have. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them for you.

So here is my setup.... you can flip through the photos.

I pretty much followed KTJO4x4, as she had a very detailed write-up. You can find that HERE and also HERE is another good post. You can also check out my Build thread

What I purchased for my electrical upgrades was:
    • Switch-Pro 9100 8-switch Panel Power System
    • Switch-Pro PowerTray (non-ATRAC)
    • Replacement Power Cable for the Switch-Pro
    • Blue Sea 8 Slot Terminal Block
    • Blue Sea 10 Screw Common BusBar w/ Ground Cable
    • Blue Sea 4 Circuit Compact Fuse Block
    • Stubby Cable for Blue Sea Fuse Block
    • Went with the Odyssey 34R-PC1500T Battery
    • Red Aluminum Battery Tie Down Bracket
I definitely recommend the following tools for this project. As a broad overview, here is my list of parts that I used for this build.
1/4″ Expandable Braided Sleeving (can get it in black or other colors. I went with red and black)
3:1 Dual Wall Adhesive Heat Shrink Tubing kit
    #8 Hole Heat-Shrink Ring Terminals, 12-10 AWG
    #8 Hole Heat-Shrink Ring Terminals, 14-16 AWG
Waterproof Weather Pack Electrical Wire Cable 2 Pin Way Connector Plug
Add-A-Circuit Low Profile Fuse Holder for trigger wires and fuses that go with
3M T-Tap if splicing into factory harness for trigger wires. Ex: I spliced into reverse for pink trigger
    Electrical Tape (Just in case)

Likewise, here is a list of tools that I used for my build.
The pro style wire strippers. You can use General Purpose Wire Cutters w/ Wire Strippers and Crimper (18-10 AWG), but i found that just the stripping part the pro-style made this more effective, efficient, and cleaner.
Delphi Packard Weatherpack Crimper (a must if you're going to do the weather pack connections like KTjo4x4 and I did.

Now to the wiring. Here is the conservative chart that I went off of to accommodate my needs.
    14 gauge wire – Switches 1-4
    12 gauge wire – Switches 5-8

I finally started gathering the parts i need for my landcruiser headgasket project, its been sitting for too long. While i have it apart i'm replacing a bunch of seals, gaskets, hoses, tune up, timing chain ect... It runs good and has good & even compression #'s across all cylinders so i'm hoping the machine shop has good news about the condition of the head. Po told me he did overheat it so i'm hoping the head isn't cracked, parts for these 80's can be expensive & hard to find. I'm new to these motors so i've been doing my research on ih8mud forum. After the motor repair i plan to rebuild the front knuckles for peace of mind. These solid axle suspensions are bulletproof. I love the excitement i get when i start researching & ordering parts for a project vehicle, like a fat kid on Halloween lol!
