Flooring is done now starting trim. I will go back and paint the doors and casings to match the trim

That 716xps is looking pretty nice, of course I'm still cheap and want to consider buying the kobalt 7 1/4" sliding... but then I look a thing the dewalt and think they engineered it pretty well giving you maximum use of both sides of the bevel while still keeping is simple and non sliding.

I also think that: how you set up and use your tools that is more important than the tool brand. You can have a $1500 saw and cut crooked ends or a $150 saw cut nice straight ends.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is a local stonemason about this job we're currently doing and he said what we're doing isn't a renovation , it's a resurrection . I think he might be right haha .

This is where we are at , cracks & holes remediated with Xypex concrete patch , 2.coats of foundation emulsion and Superseal dimpled membrane installed .



Plumber starts his interior groundwork on Monday so hopefully we will be able to pour our interior slab the following Monday .

After interior slab has set up for a few days we will be able to backfill the outside high wall .

 

Actually -- this took me a few years to learn from my union carpenter brother -- it is not quarter round - mostly it is called and IS "base shoe" argue all you want that is what it is called -- it is not a true "round" if you are laying the right stuff . it is called "base shoe" they are very close in appearance but not the same.

 

You are totally correct , it is shoe moulding .

 

There is lots of shoe moulding profiles though
