I would like to test drive a newer one. Those things were a blast when tuned. I heard there’s an overhaul for 2020?

    A thing or two...
I think 2020 is supposed to be the mid-generation refresh. I've also heard rumor that the STI might be going to an FA engine. The new Ascents are running a turbocharged 2.4L FA engine, and I've heard a beefed up version of it will be the new STI engine.

I really miss driving manual. All three of the cars I owned before my Tacoma were manual. They were all Audis and one Volkswagen, so they all broke.

    How goes it, All?

Passed a nice mildly lifted DCLB in quicksand with black wheels a few ago. I waived but they either didn't see me or cared....cause I was in the Jeep.

Nobody asked for it, but all of this manual talk makes me miss this car right here.

2.7 twin turbo V6, AWD and a 6 speed manual. Same engine/trans from the S4 in a bigger, more subtle package. This thing would be neck and neck with a stock bugeye WRX. Had 107,000 miles on it when the clutch went out and it was pretty much mechanically totaled.

Yeah, man. Not to bad. Wifey picked up a few items that I was lucky enough to pay for.

Looked at bang bangs for a bit. Woman wants to try shooting revolvers now.

With OVTune there is supposed to be a MPG increase if you are willing to run 91 octane. I am not running 91. Regardless, the performance benefits of OVT are worth it. Plus, it corrects the transmission gear hunting that occurs on hilly highways. Although I think Toyota released a software update to correct it. I never got the software update from toyota.

Damn it! I killed the thread..

Going back to the fridge/cooler debate (not really).. The fridge is way nice. Took me many a year of going back and forth on them. Finally picked one up when I came across a very nice sale on the one I was looking at.

Roto-molded coolers... I think it all depends on your usage. For the most part, they are all good. Just depends on features if you will, and said use of cooler.

I have a Engel 19qt. that is my lunch box for work. Guy's a work call me a food truck for as much stuff Wifey fills it with. Also a Sub-Z 23qt. in the back of work truck for water and gatorade in the summer.

Before the Sub-Z.. I bought a Igloo Sportsman 40qt. that was use for the drinks in the truck during summer time.

They all worked well for my usage.

This is why I can’t take yeti seriously. A bottle opener and retractable key chain holder for $30.

Anyone in here want a free hitch with 2” ball? If not it goes in the trash later.

Why would it be mechanically totaled or did you just not want to invest the money into fixing it? Those are pretty sweet rides as long as all the plastic crap in the engine bay are kept up/changed with metal versions and the interiors are well kept. I always liked VW/Audi stuff.

I'm about to put my Akorn Kamado grill up for sale on craigslist and my neighborhood FB page, but I wanted to offer it up in here first. I paid $300 for it at Home Depot and am looking to get $60; it was only used twice and will probably need a new grate because it has sat for about 8 months. I only use my Weber kettle and need the space in my garage so this thing needs a new home. Let me know if you are interested.

It needed a new thermostat, clutch, wheel bearing, tires and one of the turbos was on it's way out. That's easily $4,000 worth of stuff.

I would have loved to keep it, but I was in school and needed a reliable car. It was a beautiful car, the previous owner was a well known area doctor and it was in excellent physical condition. Beige interior looked brand new. I'll find some more pictures if you want.

This was my other Audi. A '97 A4 2.8 5 speed, I did everything to it myself. Only sold it to buy the A6, which I was planning on doing a Stage 3 build on.
