Being that yours is a few years old I'd spray some penetrating oil on all the bolts that you'll be removing. Makes removal a lot easier. Make sure to get it aligned after lifting it

You’ll be able to do it. As suggested, hit it well with penetrating oil ahead of time to let it work. Tons of videos online for Tacoma suspension work. Dead blow hammer helped me in separating the ball joint at UCA.

You have a shit ton of resource on here if you run into an issue.

You could reach out to the Big Sky 4 Wheelers guys, they might know a good place. I was up in Kalispell earlier this year with a bent upper control arm. Les Schwab guys were nice but didn't figure out my problem (granted it was 30min before closing time). If I were you, I'd install myself then check alignment shops around and see if they deal with the particular lift/truck you have. If in Bozeman, use Big-O.

Just make sure you tighten the leaf-springs U-bolts properly, there is a typo. says 37ft-lb when it should be 73ft-lb. saved you some time reading through the thread. If you get aftermarket springs/u-bolts then follow their recommendations.

Anybody in the Bozeman area have a garage and tools to install a lift on my gx470? Can provide beer and pizza.

I don't think my garage is big enough, but if you find someone with room, I can come join with the tools I have. I'm not an expert mechanic, but I've done lifts on a couple 4runners so I handy enough. Just don't ask me to do brakes if you're extending them. I've never had good luck with the lines not fighting me haha.

I might take you up on the offer. I have a garage that is big enough just no jack and jack stands. But I might have found some that I can borrow.

I've got a jack and jackstands as well, so we're good there. Unfortunately I'm tied up this weekend, but if you can wait til next weekend, I'll be in town.

Went to the dump/landfill today. Got rid of my XMas tree and some old fence slats.

My truck, including myself and my Rottweiler, weighed in at exactly 5,900lbs as we exited. Scale is calibrated to +/- 20lbs.

Toyota Press Release for 2015 Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 says it was 4,285lbs from factory.

Explains the crappy gas mileage. I've added 1,615lbs to it. LOL

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm loving it here so far. Sold the tundra a while ago and am definitely missing it, but 4wd is obviously a priority here!

IMG_20190105_153315042.jpg Welcome. I'm new to TW but not new to Montana. I'm still getting to know my Tacoma I bought it on new year's Eve. So far I like it a lot.
