Fired her up a little bit ago. Needed the jump pack. Let her run for a solid 20 minutes shut her down and tried to start her back up again and no dice.

Figured it wasn't worth doing any more damage to the battery. Next time I actually need it will be Saturday AM for the dentist. Should be well into the 30's by then. If it struggles, we got a bigger issue. Luckily I have the warranty if needed.

There really is only one good looking full front bumper for the 4runners.

I mean I'm not gonna say it was me, but it was me. All I did was make a suggestion and answer questions. Even if my answers leaned towards 4runners.
oh? and which one might that be?? :quickdraw:

They're sweet! I would like them more than the double sheer UCA gussets that some companies make. I'm just curious if I could make my own out of square tubing.

    Adam,
I've owned a Tundra, a 4Runner Trail and now a Tacoma Sport. I live in the country so off roading or not, 4x4 is a must regardless. I've always liked the Tacoma because of the body style.

I had the Tundra because I had a 18" enclosed trailer and hauled a 1200 lb motorcycle in it. It was great for that. I sold the trike and trailer and didn't need that large of a truck. I had always been interested in owning a SUV so I traded the Tundra for a 4RT after riding in my cousins 4R a couple times. I just thought it was a versatile, and very comfortable. I could haul 5 people comfortably, and if I wanted, go off road. I got around the difference of cargo space by adding a roof basket to the top and I have a cargo basket I would put in the receiver when I needed to go to the dump and had that drippy, stank ass nasty trash or anything else I didn't want to cram inside. I would literally fill the inside and have 3 or 4 55 gal bags in that back basket. I also used it when we went on vacation to the beach. I have flip up draw bar so I could leave it attached and not worry about parking. I loved the 4Runner. Not a damn thing bad about it. They are not cheap so to be able to afford it I leased it. At just about the time the lease was up the dealership made me an offer on the Tacoma I couldn't pass up. I was finally getting the truck I should have had when I bought the Tundra, which at the time, due to incentives from Toyota was cheaper than a Tacoma. Obviously it was more truck as well. It was a long bed double cab. That bitch was every bit of 24'!

So now I can say I've had all three and will honestly say I enjoyed each of them for different reasons/purposes. What would I do differently? Nothing. If you can manage your cargo needs with a 4Runner (and if I can, anyone can) efficiently and you even for a moment think you might like the SUV better, don't hesitate. Especially if you have a utility trailer at your disposal. I still have the roof and rear mounted cargo baskets and would sell them to you at a fraction of what they would cost new. With those you could take a family of 4 on a week long (or longer. We, well I am needy and pack heavy) trip anywhere.

I would definitely consider a 4Runner if I were you and suggest you go test drive one for longer than a an hour, in as many different driving scenarios as possible. After an hour or so you might find it's not for you.

We are a two car family simply because one has to be economical due to our commute being so long so it's a hybrid, and the other has to be a utility type vehicle that I can use to do things I can't in a car. Like make it home from work 45 miles in 6" of snow. Or haul a ton of mulch to the property.

    :fistbump:
