Thanks everyone for the replies- you're feelin' my dilemma: it's a lease so I do have to turn it back in as a 'stocker'. I'm trying to do mods that can be pretty easily taken off when that time comes. I figure a set of SCS SR8's with tires and TPMS will sell pretty quickly around here. Shit maybe I'll keep it when the lease is up. Dunno. I will speak with Chris and see what we can come up with. I'm not taking that f'er to Hidden Falls with those damn street tires on it..

 

Another option is 255/85/16 a tall n skinny 33. I do have a 1/4in spacer I’d be willing to sell stupid cheap an will give you 1/2in up front. That tire size will fit stock height/rims as well here is a thread on it.

Putting mod money into someone else's vehicle?

 

As far as I'm concerned- it's my vehicle for the next couple years. And, I do have the option to buy it when the lease is up. I just don't see myself driving a stock Tacoma just because it's a lease. No offense intended Jeff, but your comment reminded of a regular conversation I have with my wife.. Every time I mention buying some new toy, she asks me "why do you need a new _______?" My stock answer goes something like this- Well, honey, nobody really needs a new _____, but I really WANT a new ______ so when it gets here don't be surprised.

After pics in a couple weeks- now to decide if I'm getting 285's or Skinny's..

 

None taken. I have that same conversation with my wife, but my part goes like this:

"Well, it's 100% my cash, so get in the kitchen and stop asking questions!"

 

Do 285s. I love mine!

 

Skinnies would probably highway better from what I've heard but I run 285's for the wider footprint both aired up/down. I often have several wheels off the ground when wheeling so I want as much of the ones touching the ground gripping as possible.

Currently half way through my 265/70/17 and itching for some 285/75/17. Chances are you’re going to buy it at the end of the lease go all out.
