stock aux (please help)

    sylvania ultra head lights, black out head lights, high lift bed rail tabs, 3" lift, custome made avid style light bar and rock rails, bed light mod, full audio with JL 12W7, color match grill and bumper, satoshi, 305/70/16 Mickey Thompson MTZ, 16X8 Pro Comp 152, Satoshi grill with Kc slim lights pencil beams behind it.
    has anyone used the stock aux plug and adapted to an aftermarket head unit? please help im doing it right now lol.

    Just curious... why don't you pull out the Aux connector blank and connect directly to the back of that and bypass the stupid harness?

    thanks for the quick reply epa4wd. i ended up totally bypassing it and just usining the housing thanks again i thought it would be easy to use the stock unit but it wasnt at all so i just went the easier way and made my own unit. thanks again for the help from everyone.

    hey sry i didnt take any pics but ill tell u how i did it with pic from online. firts thing was to take the stock aux plug and housing out of the dash. then i took the housing apart and took the plug unit out. next we got a universal stereo plug unit like in the first attached pic. we took an everyday stereo cable like in the second pic and cut one end open and found out witch wire was witch and soldered it to the new plug. we picked this plug because it had a set nut on the plug end that fit in the stock aux housing perfectly. so with it all soldered and put in the stock housing we pluged it into the back of the aftermarket head unit. now i can enjoy a fully custom stock looking aux plug. if i get adventurous ill take it apart and take some pics.
