This is where my radio is mounted. Passenger side. I have some big friends that ride shotgun and they don’t seem to mind the radio being there.

The red wire is for a different install and the gray one is my wife’s phone charger.

Was that CB small enough to fit in that cubby or did you have to remove the faceplate and relocate the body of the radio like in the link I posted?

    Search Amazon/eBay for:

    ABS Plastic 12 X 12 X 1/8-Inch

Buy some then cut to fit. To cut the trapezoid I had bought a switch panel from Izzy and just used it as a template.

That’s what I thought it was. I made a sun visor for my touch screen out of the same stuff.

You have to cut the back of the cubby. There are a few I have seen recently that may fit without cutting the back. Search Amazon for President CB and they make some small ones.

3 inch lift with Toytec Boss and All Pro UCA's up front. AP expedition leafs with Bilstien 5100 shocks in the back. 255/85/16 Cooper S/T Max tires. All Pro skids, rear bumper and sliders, Hidden winch mount with XRC 8000 winch. Dual Optima batteries with IBS combiner/isolator and solar. CMC. Auto sliding rear window mod, hidden CB, CVJ axles and plenty of other little mods.
This is a bit of a dead horse. You might want to do a bit of searching.

I just finished my CB install on my 2017 a couple weeks ago. Chose to put the base unit in the console out of the way. Had to relocate the 12vdc outlet to the back of the console and used the existing hole from that for the cables for the CB. I routed the handset cable through the dash near the steering wheel. I think it came out pretty clean. I'm still thinking about adding a grommet or something to the handset cable to keep it put, but that's more of a personal peeve than anything right now.20190130_130703.jpg 20190130_111638.jpg

This is what I ran. Nice and compact, not the most powerful unit, but fine if your needs are appropriate.

No pics of it installed, but I put the base under the dash on the passenger side, hung the mic/handheld on a clip mounted below the HVAC vent on the right of the radio.
