The ball joint was twisted as the nut was tightened.

    It's tuff country.

If concerning, remove wheel, knock UCA off spindle, readjust boot, reinstall.

From the post above, it looks like that may be the way it is

Not an expert on tuff country products but as an above post mentions it does look like it got pulled or twisted out of place when the Nut was tightened down so I would be concerned since it is some what now open to all the crap you do not want inside with the grease on a bearing surface.

I read a post the other day that of course I can not find now.... another guy was having this issue. The boot seemed to come off and get twisted after some off roading I believe. Anyway he ended up finding a boot that was a little bit bigger and has not had issues since.

Thanks. Zero off reading I just picked the truck up has only 190 miles in it. I’m taking it back tomorrow anyways due to rubbing where black plastic meets the inner fender. I think the coil overs need to be adjusted for a taller lift in front and maybe alignment.

What lift was put on in place of the Fox suspension? Assuming you have a Pro like your profile says.

Dropped it off this morning. Dust boots need to be slipped back on and alignment. He said lift was maxed out and may need smaller tires....I smacked him with "you have a cement colored taco out front with a roughcountry spacer lift and same size tires and zero rub.... You need to adjust and or raise the lift on coilovers since I have a 2 inch give or take rake from back to front" I was given a loaner and a "will call you once we make it right."

Mods are what Jeeps do. I can count on 1 hand the number of stock JKs I've seen.
