It's worth a try if you have an extra one laying around. The one that came with the kit may be new, but shit happens.

Nope, before I loaded the tune I had the truck at Toyota and they said that it was up to date? I was able to load 1.05 and drive it, until this past Sunday when I started getting all the error codes.

I'll try another usb cable as well, but so far I still cant get the ecu to clear out.. errors pop up fast and the dash keeps beeping..

So 1.05 is out. and from what I heard, the higher rev limiter is ready but flash manager (1st time to tune any car but I understand the work like ignition and valve stuff, just don’t understand computer software) isnt ready yet. Anyone would be kind enough to give me some insight to how and when the custom tune will be ready.

Mat is working on fixing the remaining issues in the base 1.05 tune. After thats complete, he'll start with custom tuning.

7k redline is already in the MT tune. Flash manager will be available "very soon"

Anyone have 0-60 times with the new rev limit? I’m thinking it may be noticeably quicker then stock

you would also need someone with 0-60 times with the old rev limiter to compare it to.

I didn’t ask because I thought the Tacoma was/now is a fast truck with the new tune. I asked because I was curious in the tunes measurable performance gains. And 0-60 times are one way someone can see how a tunes performance gains directly affects their vehicle. We all don’t have equipment to do our own dyno runs. 0-60 times are measured in variety of vehicles, trucks included by owners, reviewers and even manufactures regularly, and not because they are designed for “0-60” but it’s an aspect of the vehicle that consumers would like to know. Thanks for your response though.

i just finished another round of work that can maybe improve my traction and launching (ADM & Hammer Hangers). and today i'm expecting a new BT OBDII adapter, so i'm gonna give it a shot. @tonered did some runs recently and hit 7 something (maybe 7.0 iirc?)

AFAIK, someone said he got .1sec shorter than the Toyota 0-60 claims a couple pages back. Even with the 91 tune the HP gains is ~ 20hp, hardly anything that would show on a 0-60. The tune was made to smooth the power delivery, it doesn't magically slap a turbo on the truck.

    This was my best shot:
    Screenshot_20190202-130612.jpg

I don't think I stayed in it for the whole 1/4mi? Definitely the 1/8mi.

8.0sec is easily attainable. Under that is tricky.

The run was on the TSB tune (04B13), stock Toyo A30s at 35psi, 120lb of tube sand near the tailgate, and ADM at about 50ft above sea level. The best run was with AutoLSD on a slightly moist road.
