for me yes it's worth the cost. i budgeted for the part and didn't effectively do that for labor, and honestly i was surprised how much labor to install. kinda glad i didn't know! because i went over budget a bit with that.

Not to derail this thread (further), but which shackles did you go with on those?

So if I bought the tune right now, and l loaded it in the truck, redline is higher just like that? (I would get 91 octane)

Yup, you just simply can go all the way to 7k rpm. Only really applies on 1st/2nd gear. But if you can make it happen in 3rd or 4th that would be epic.

Post some vids!!!! :bananadance: I’m sure it’s safe but is 7k rpms dangerous for the engine? My butt tightens when the needle goes into the red....

Me being the speed driven kid, I probably would. Not 4th, thats death. I already went 120 more than a couple of times. Not on public or traffic filled roads obviously. There’s a drag strip 2-3 hours away so... *curiosity*

It wouldn't be in the tune if it wasn't safe.

I don't have the tune yet. Hopefully, next week.

I do have vids of TSB tune runs, but they are not for public consumption.

    You think I'm fancy? :drunk:

But yeah, you're only getting that screenshot from a couple pages back. I should have done a run like @M1Awolf , but there was a request to see the instruments in the shot.

Get me a go pro or a mounted camera, I’ll go to the drag strip with the tune. 7k and 91 octane. No balls

Yeah. I'm about 20min north, but the Puget-opolis extends from the south end of Tacoma to about Marysville or so. West, we have water, and east, we have mountains. So, finding an empty, safe, flat road or two required a nice Saturday drive. In the end, I enjoyed the whole thing.

The only shortcut is getting out at 0-dark-30 and setting up the run on an empty freeway. But, that is better left to rolling calibration runs.

I live in the country side, all roads are desolated. We have a 2.5 km stretch on the main road when you exit the city with a stop light just before it, nuff said lol

Ouch not a cheap mod lol Just bought a new pair or alpine ski, that's gonna wait a bit. How much for labor?
