Popped out the passenger side dash tweeter to see how easy/hard it was going to be to swap out my new component tweets to the existing mount. Looks like the whole speaker is molded to the mount. I see several vendors selling plastic adapters that mount using the existing holes. I'll round up some scrap plastic/aluminum from work and roll my own.

Doesn't look like rocket surgery

Was hoping to work on the whole install this weekend but it's too damn cold for me to be out there! Got chilled enough spending the 5 minutes it took me to get the one out.

I've seen volt meters and dual USB chargers, but not one like that. 2 in 1? Volt meter on the cover with USB behind? Got a link?

How sturdy is that thing? Ive been wanting to get a winch, but would only use it 1-2 times a year, So I wanted to do a hitch mount instead of having to leave it on the truck all year long.

Love the way these look, but I also wish there was a way to have a switch to toggle between white and yellow light. I wouldn’t want yellow all the time.

I’ve never heard of this, but now I’m going to look into it for my wife’s FJ. If you have any tips let me know!

Looks great. I noticed that the UCAs were a lot worse on my 3rd gen than on my 2nd gen. I had to hammer the bolt out with an extension inside the hole on the driver side...couldn’t bend the metal out enough.

Waiting to do the BD Fogs also, have had the lights for about a month, waiting for the adapter bezel to get here! I didn’t buy it as a set.

Here is the thread I followed. I ordered the switch from Amazon. It was all pretty straight forward.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/garage-door-remote-mod.530879/

The switch I got came with a pigtail connector, and you can wire it up in a few different variations for the led ring. I ended up wiring it to always be on. I tapped into the ignition fuse with an add a fuse.

As for the garage remote , I just zip tied it up under the dash. I made sure to leave myself enough slack to change the battery in the remote in the future.

I've read where quite a few people are having transmission issues hunting for gears around 45 mph and mine has that issue as well at times, but has anyone had theirs make a clunking sound when breaking? Sometimes when I'm applying medium pressure on the brakes and slowing from 15 to 10 mph, it makes that sound and feels like someone bumped into the back of me. Seems to be mostly when the truck isn't fully warmed up. I'm wondering if the latest update will resolve that issue along with the others. Due for my next service in around 1300 miles and will have them look into this issue.
