    Hey TW,

Been looking around the search bar but have only found info on short bed covers (and prices).

Looking for bed cover options that people use and like on the Long Bed Tacomas.

Trifold, rollup, ect. Pictures included are nice!

My stock tri fold is amazing. I love that I can lock my work gear at all times, and if I ever need to carry something bigger it’s just a couple folds and away I go. Comes off completely as easy as the folding. I got the pop and lock for the rear tailgate lock coming in the mail and that will really set this thing on another level. With the bed mat I haven’t had any issues with my stuff getting wet due to minor leaks from the front and back. However I just installed the oem rubber blocks for the front of the bed, so I think it’ll be drier

Stock tri fold? Like it was installed at the dealer? So it was just a regular hard Tonneau cover?

It’s the stock tri fold. But it didn’t come with my truck, which is a dclb. I needed something like this that could fold up and remove, and lock gear up. Fits the bill perfectly. I was contacted by a TW member that just bought his truck and came with the cover. He didn’t want it and offered to sell it to me. It was close enough that I drove to get it. All the parts minus the rubber blocks came with it. I had to cut my rails, but it was easy after measuring a bunch. It looks great and functions just as well. I’m stoked. Got it for $350!

I just purchased a Rugged Liner E-series hardcover trifold for less than $700 on Amazon. Install was simple and utilizes the stock bed rails with aluminum brackets as attachment points. I would take a picture but its snowy here today in Michigan. Looks the same as the manufactures website pics. Weighs less than 60lbs.

Perfect. That's what I'm looking for essentially. Is the soft cover pretty thin? Like if some tweak walked up with a box cuter he could just chop a gash in it easily?

Thank you for the picture. Nice mounts!

The locking mechanism is pretty sturdy and the material that is stretched over the ribs is fairly thick. I don't know if it's any kind of ripstop kinda stuff you could ask RC. That being said I live in a pretty save area wouldn't expect anyone to cut into but I'm sure it could be done if someone was determined.

Haha thanks! I've got the Rago Fab and Relentless ones. I'll have the RotoPax mounted on the header rail this weekend.

I can take more pics if you wanna see how it seals up or whatever.

So when it's folded down you can lock it in place, and then close the tail gate and lock the gate. That's great.

I don't always carry expensive things back there, the purpose of getting it is for covering snowboarding gear on trips to the mountain and keeping things dry to get them across town (groceries/items from that fancy store Target). Unfortunately in my area we have many heroin addicts but they usually only break a window if they see a purse on the passenger seat.

Some dick on the one night I forget to lock my truck went through it at 2:50am and got my Ipod last year. I hate thieves.

Oh I forgot to ask, did you notice any decrease in MPG? I would think that covering the bed would increase but have heard it does the opposite.

Thieves do suck! I luckily have only had to break into my own car since locked keys and had frame-less windows haha.

Yes you'd have to open tail gate and unlock the latches to open it up to fold. I'll be installing a Pop Lock kit to help keep stuff locked up and safe back there.

I already ordered the Pop Lock off Amazon but this is a great choice from a TW to add some security to bed. She offers a full kit that makes install a breeze.

I also will be installing these Cubby Caps to keep stuff dry like air pump and tie downs.

I'm looking at some of the retractable options from Pace Edwards or Retrax. I want the the entire bed is still be accessible with a rack+RTT mounted above.

I installed it basically a week after I got truck and I ripped off that dumb "chin spoiler" up front cause it's ugly haha. Truck mainly stays in town so MPGs suck anyways but I've heard it helps to have something to allow air to pass smoother over bed.

I'd like to second this. The factory Toyota cover has been working out great on my longbed. Coupled with the pop and lock, it keeps my tools nice and safe and *mostly* dry. Rain sometimes comes through the corners, drip down the sides, and drain under the mat.

    Couple pictures for reference:

Regardless of what cover you end up with, I'd also recommend adding some bed lights. I got this kit from Amazon and it helps out a ton with loading/unloading in the dark

Very nice! I called up my dealer and they said they don't have OEM covers. They use some 3rd party but he basically told me to go online and look around. I am a cheap ass and bought through Amazon prime a Tyger Soft Tri Fold. Looks and acts just like the rough country, but a tad cheaper. And it ships in 2 days.
