If those axle flange bolts have T shaped heads, then someone could have removed the nuts from under the vehicle. If they bolts have regular hex heads, then someone had to have the brake drums off to hold the hex head of the bolt to remove the nuts. This would point towards the mechanic that did axle work on the the truck last.

There would be 4 nuts and 4 bolts holding the bearing plate in place. Unless I missed something, it appears that only two nuts are missing.

Little bit of this and a little bit of that but stock af.
I noticed some leaks and brought to local dealership.

They told me my truck was not on the recall and that the spots I’m noticing is swelling and totally normal.

So my question is has anyone with a Off-road or pro had any rear diff issues and did the dealership take care of it for you?

Also if there are others with either with a off road or pro with these symptoms or issues. How do we get our truck put on the recall as well.

Probably the ONE time that drum brakes did something good. The drums were probably stuck on enough to hold it in place. The pads often get caught on the inner lip of the drum. Otherwise, I have no idea how he didn't lose an entire shaft on a turn. That's crazy. Glad they are replacing the seals and bearings. If it was moving in and out a little, that would probably mess up the seals and races/bearings.

Edit, your pads are now bad too. Once you get oil in them, they are done. Been there.

Not enough bolt threads showing for securing the nuts...perhaps the head end of the bolt has worked its way out 1/2"+ inch or more?

I didn't realize the age of the OP. There is a current thread about the diff leak issue on here right now.

I'll bet it did pull them with the axle bouncing out a little. I'll bet the pads held it together. It would have eventually lost the shaft. If all 4 were missing, that was a matter of time.
