Yes, we are aware of it. But, TSB tune did not produce that many on the same fuel, same trip, same environmental variables...
That is what we are trying to figure out...

Can we get a little more info on this. I am split between the kiwi3, veepeak ble, and the Carista for an obd for IOS. I started a thread speciafically for recommendations on this but got nowhere. I figure since I will want to use fusion I could ask here. Thanks

I agree about trying to figure it out. On my buddys truck with the OVTune , after going from the 91 octane tune to the 87 octane tune , we were logging 26 to 30 misfires on a 7 mile trip. after a battery disconnect for 20 mins , the misfires dropped down to 3 to 8 per trip. we did a techstream clearing of the idle learnings and it is still showing 3 to 8 misfires per trip. This is why I logged my GM SUV for misfires which also gets 2 to 8 misfires.
After reading about misfires in articles about it such as
    https://www.underhoodservice.com/tech-feature-detecting-misfires-in-obd-ii-engines/
I feel that this is just a normal occurance but if changing a tune we feel it is a good idea to check for misfires again and disconnect the battery or reset with techstream and then recheck for the misfires to see if it is still only lets say 0 to 9 or so.
I too await for any new info you all find out about this and am waiting to see if Mat adds the resetting of the learning in the coming flash manager for the OVTune , like he said he might in the alpha thread.
I thank all those who have discussed this on TW because if it were not for you all , my buddy would still be driving around with 26 or more misfires on just short trips and never knowing.

The deciding factors for me were the Milliamp draw when on the truck and not running , and security.
From what I have read , some others with an app can connect to your vehicle with bluetooth if the OBDII adapter is not secured and they are within 200 feet or so. Some of the cheaper adapters state that they should be taken off the vehicle when not it use so as to not drain the battery.
I bought an OBDLink MX+ on a flash sale on Amazon .
    http://www.obdlink.com/mxp/
I do not know about the Kiwi3 or the others you mentioned but again the milliamp draw and security were important to me.
Edit , I see you are IOS and that is wifi , but the same factors I mentioned are in play. and the the OBDlink MX+ works with both android and IOS. It also comes with the OBDLink app which is the same app of Fusion , and all the manufactuer specific addons for pids (not for changing any settings like Carista) are free to download and use with the adapter.

If it’s on Wi_Fi it might be hard to workout. I use my phone for mysic while I drive. I don’t know if it will work properly with trying to Wi_Fi and Bluetooth at the same time. Guess I gotta go find out. Thanks

Anyone figure out how to show knock? I found all the misfire codes but the value out of the knock sensor is eluding me.

Anyone have some understanding of the knock correction learn value
    And
    Knock F\B value

Trying to understand what they mean and what numbers are inside the normal values.

Figured it out. Seems like an easy way to monitor for fuel quality when running the ovtunes.

I went ahead a picked up the Carista module. Working fine so far via Bluetooth. I’ll see how it goes but for $20 for a decent name, seemed like a good place to start...

Good point on security. It would be nice if it was pw secured.

Making a dashboard today, I entered a value to move a display and it pushed it off the screen, and now I can’t touch that display to select and edit it. Can’t even delete it to remake it unless I delete the whole dashboard. Not the end of the world but hoping there’s any easier way to fix it...

Have you tried rotating the screen? Long shot, but maybe...

I’m having issues with the Toyota specific pids. They show to be available when setting up the dashboard, how ever when I connect to the truck they don’t show available. Is there any special setting I’m missing? When it does the scan for available pids, it comes up with 0.

Did you purchase the Toyota bundle?

Yes, it shows it to be available when not connected to the truck. Soon as I connect it this option goes away.
