    Hi guys.
Can anyone please tell me how to service my TRD supercharger? Do I just need to change the oil or is there more to it for a service?

Which 5spd are you running behind your 1GRFE?

    Hey!
The gearbox is a kun26r. It’s a 5 speed box that came out standard with my Hilux. I thought while I have the engine out I’ll get the box reconditioned and had all the tow pack and strengthening that can possibly be done. I did it to handle the heavy towing I do but also to make sure it can handle the engines extra power especially under heavy load.

Sorry I don’t have any photos as yet but as soon as I get the car back I’ll take some of the while car and engine for everyone to see.
Thanks for the link in maintenance too. I’ll have a look at it.

Hi . Anyone got any idea on how to increase the boost of the TRD supercharger? I have changed the pulley but I read somewhere that there is a brass restricter in a hose somewhere that can be removed. Is this true?
Any other way to increase boost will be great.
I will get my engine dyno tuned after I do the exhaust so I’m hoping they can push this engine to its max.

Nice pics, looks just like the american 4.0

The easiest way to up boost is to swap for a smaller pulley, but what kind of tuning are you running? TRD flash?
Here is a quick change hub im running on mine with a 2.6. Makes about 9-10 lbs of boost.

A couple questions on the KUN26R if you dont mind.. Is first gear on the right or left hand side? and does the KUN26R come mated to anything besides the 1GRFE down there? like does it also come as an option on the D4D or 4cyl? Long story short, i may be considering importing one of these and am trying to figure out more info on them.

I’m pretty sure the pulley on it is a 2.75 and by the look of it if I go smaller I’ll have to machine the snout. I’ll re measure it to make sure.
The ecu is straight out of the TRD Hilux sobits just running factory settings but will change all that once it’s dyno tuned.

As far as the gearbox, I’m not 100% sure if we run the same in the d4d but I’ll ring my gearbox guy who did mine and find out some things for you.

Looking at the gear knob, first gear is top left. Reverse is far bottom right.

That's affirmative, you'll have to machine the snout if you go smaller than the 2.875". Also your stock pulley looks huge for some reason, changing it out will net you a great seat of the pants feel for very little money. Also, are you still intent on running LP on this combo?

Gotcha, so it's just running the factory tune right now- ie hasnt been reflashed for the blower?

I would greatly appreciate that! All the info i can get would be great, just trying to learn as much as i can for a better RA60F replacement.

That is good news, i was worried it would be opposite- top right for first since yall are down under. I wouldnt be able to live with that lol

Ok so I just took a photo of the current pulley. As you can see it’s says it’s a 3” And yes I just measured it and it is. I thought it was smaller. What do you suggest I do? Machine it and get the smallest pulley possible?
The ecu does know the charger is there but it’s only running it a factory settings so definitely need the smaller pulley and a dyno. A915E37F-7D0F-4F6C-AF92-AAE660A53B77.jpg

I'm on my second engine, but it was considerably less exciting. I think it was put into motion when I drove for an extended period of time without the intercooler pump running. @FinnJ is the only other s/c'd FJ that I know was thinking of running LP.
