    @OVTune didn't you mention that you could also fix this by patching the ecu with a larger table to read beyond 323 g/s? Would this be easier than trying to configure a new maf/intake setup?

    They informed me that they don’t do Tacoma’s, that if they do, it won’t be until summer at the earliest. I was wondering the same thing.

    It’s funny because Mat tuned my truck there oh about a year or so ago. Maybe over a year I can’t remember now. But I mean their dyno can do it, it’s just a matter of their software. It sounds like Mat is going to provide them the software to do it, but I’m not sure how that is going to work. Also am curious if they are as good at tuning as Mat. I’m not trying to turn my motor to scrap metal.

    They have the software and capability now. Give them a call and they will get you guys in. I just spoke with the owner earlier today. He's a friend of mine.

    Is the Tundra MAF different or the same? Not sure they have a different resolution per the same voltage scale, such as different MAP sensors? What other cars in the Toyota lineup have a similar designed Denso MAF, but make more HP, thus need more resolution?

    Might just be easier to taper the intake tubing to a larger diameter, around the MAF, then back to match the TB.

    Would have to be calibrated with the tune to run right though.

    I called them back yesterday, but they said if they do, it will be summer at the earliest, maybe miscommunication, but I talked to the twice and they said they couldn’t yet, I’ll try again in the summer and see if I have any luck. Still hoping on the handheld coming with preset tunes, maybe I’m dreaming, but hoping it eventually gets to that level.

    I would only imagine maybe they are not yet confident in using the software, Soo I’m ok waiting on them to get to point where they are comfortable adjusting everything and using the new software.

    I think you guys are over-thinking the MAF situation.
    You use the same MAF. You use a larger diameter MAF housing (the tube the maf goes into). Lets say "stock" is 2.5 inch diameter. You go to 3.5 inch diameter.
    you then rescale the G/sec on the maf to voltage to match the new MAF tube size. As a result, the MAF can now read more air.

    So in other words, using something like the dual-vvti 4.0 intake tube (larger diameter) would make it possible.

    Yes we are on the same page. The newer 1GR intake is a bigger tube, so it would be an easy fairly plug and play setup. Someone on this forum has installed one. I think they were throwing lean codes because of no tuning though.

    Speed density conversion is something I've already started on, but until I have a dedicated test truck it will be a while. But it's already something useful for boosted toyotas. Also we are a small team buried in work so as you guys know we wish we could develop and provide faster it's difficult with 2 people. So it's possible, but not soon.

I have a 2014 Tacoma, 4.0 AT (non-supercharged), if that matters.

    Received my registration key today. Tuning suite seems to be up and running on my laptop. I could use a couple pointers. Anyone else running this software yet that can assist a bit? @OVTune @12TRDTacoma

    I have the software but I have not used it for any tuning yet actually. I don't know the software well enough and I don't know of anyone in the area who has experience with it either.
