Hey guys - just because I'm impatience and overall curious. Has anyone flipped there Tacoma before? I am interested in what your insurance did/said or if anyone has done similar repairs. A nice ding to my A-Pillar and roof, side curtain airbags deployed, some minor scratches and dings from the small trees and a messed up front bumper.

This just happened yesterday, thankfully no one was hurt. I was basically going about 20-30 mph around a curve in the road. With multiple factors, I was not able to keep the rubber side down. I was on the road after again refilling some diff fluid, spraying down the engine bay with some acid neutralizer, and aired up the flat tire.

Tough call, that's some pretty good damage to the R PSO, and your windshield seal and the area where your roof rack attaches too are compromised.

I'm going to bet not totalled out but it may come very close.

Make sure you inspect every inch of that truck before they give you an estimate. Like I'm willing to bet your wheels are all scratched up. Sometimes details tend to go unnoticed until later.

I have been looking over everything today - my steering wheel and alignment is way off - pretty sure I damaged some suspension components on the front driver wheel, the rear bed is totally tweaked as well. I will have to post a picture later. Passenger door will most likely be replaced? All speculation at this point but it all adds up quickly.

My old man always told me the only rule growing up sledding and driving is PPT. Positive pressure on the throttle. May have gotten ya out of this one.

Jokes aside glad everyone is okay. Conditions change quick in the mountains..

You’ll probably wish it was totaled if it’s not. Tons of little tweaks everywhere that will get glossed over and rear their heads down the line.

    Move on.

Edit: these trucks weigh thousand of pounds. The engine alone weighs 400. That is a LOT of rotational force on on the mounting pieces and connections. And that’s just the engine bay. All your suspension, body mounts, trim pieces, bushing, seals, EVERYThing literally got thrown on its head. You WILL have premature wear as a result. Any residual value is now reduced SIGNIFICANTLY because: rollover.

Likely totaled. Major cab repair, door, bed, airbag, suspension repair if there isn’t frame damage from the suspension failure + labor and paint it adds up quickly.

Snow is sketchy and things happen. Be careful out there.

I played the same game and the insurance company totaled my truck but I bought it back and repairs only cost me about $4k so I came out way ahead.

Thanks for all of the input guys, it's been a huge help getting an idea. At this point I'm really hoping the truck is totaled and I'll get a new one. I'll mostly buy it back and part it out.

Here is a picture of the tweaked bed. Definitely did not sit like this before the wreck.

Smash the a pillar with a BFH. I’m not sure if they will repair that. My buddy flopped his XJ and they totaled it cause of that. Granted this was an older vehicle. Make sure quote for repairs is using all OEM parts. If you have rental max it out. Make it as expensive as possible to have them attempt to fix it. BFH idea is fraud though.

Probably totaled. See what insurance company says and then go from there based on their results. If totalled then you can offer to buy it from the insurance company and then part out to reduce losses and maybe even get gains. Keep in mine repairs will not be cheap if you go that route.
