even with spring pads people are getting squeeks but apparently the bushings that come with the pack in the front most eye slide out of place and then you get metal on metal. hmmm i hate squeeks hahaha is this just a Dakar thing or are people having these issues with other packs like the deavers and shit?

i also find something confusing hahaha so on the wheelers website, they say if you don't remove any leafs, it can support 330 lbs while maintaining ride height. but then on the headstrong website, it says 2.75'' of lift with 0lbs hahaha

Mine bushings squeak in my UCAs and leafs as well. That is an inherent urethane bushing thing. Back in the day all the urethane bushing manufacturers would have a note in the box saying that you might get noise out of them. Greasing my UCA bushings helps for a bit then they squeak again not that big of a deal to me.

I believe that's an old style dakar thing. On the old ones, only the rear bushing was the poly, and the front was the "built in" one. The new style is poly bushings all around.

You are misunderstanding yes the ones you linked on wheelers appear to be the HD ones or so I surmise from their description. Headstrong you have a drop down menu and choose either the Std or HD.

the ones I linked on wheelers were not their HD ones. The part that im not getting is that on Wheelers website they claim i will not loose ride height with up to 330lbs of weight for the Medium duty one but on Headstrong for the Medium duty they say 2.75'' of lift at 0lbs, which to me, means once you put weight, you will loose height. two completely different statements for the exact same leafs

I believe wheelers hasn't updated their site. The old ones advertised 330 and 660 for the two different duties.

New ones are 0 and 660. No middle ground. But really they still support a couple hundred lbs with no issues.

I would believe this. Wheeler's seems a little slow to update things.

im all damn paranoid about the dakars squeaking now hahaha my oem ones are silent as can be. i must say tho, they were noisy as hell after my wheeling trip 2 summers ago hahaha drove me nuts, just getting into the truck they would squeak. but after jacking up the truck and a good pressure wash i was good to go. the price tag on them Dakars is just way more appealing compared to 800 for other packs.

I think that's where most squeaky leafs come from, is just shit in between the leafs. When I get a chance I need to wash out in between my leafs.

that's why im kind of liking the ones Blackout sells, they don't have as many leafs, its just a 4+1 but its arched for 3'' of lift and good for 2-300 lbs
