We entered on A street, I believe, by Beachcombers restaurant.

 

I had to ferry the wife etc to a couple shops today, so while waiting I spent some quality time looking over the truck. I noticed a couple of odd things:

- there is a plastic piece at the top of the tailgate held down by a bunch of big bolts. That plastic is loose, and can slide left-right by about 1/8" or so. Normal?

-in front of the driver and front passenger doors, inside the front quarter panels there are big gray Styrofoam chunks. They are just sitting there, molded to the shape of the panels. Normal? Purpose?

I finally was able to install the Fox 2.5 front and rear I got last month. Thanks @YamaDirtrider @CODOTUS @Red Baron for all your help today. Now I gotta figure out how I’m going to remove some preload off these suckers. We gave it a go for a good minute but these bitches wouldn’t budge. Fronts need to come down about an 1” on each side. Anyone have luck with off the wall spring compressors? Trying to adjust these while on the truck.

how did you get a dual swing rear bumper for C4? it isn't listed on their website yet, I've been waiting for them to release the dual swing for the tacoma.

 

Good idea. I might have to do something similar. My problem is I have a DCSB. Tailgate has to stay down.

 

OD I believe the stock hose is just over 3/8 and you want the hose to have a tight fit, it depends on the hose you use, I used reinforced pressure hose for a radiator (as always overkill)

 

Washed and detailed, hitch cover, driver seat rear spacers today.

 

Excuse my ignorance but I’ve seen quite a few photos like this. I get you are washing your truck but what is the product / steps you are using?

Can u give me some info on the tailgate lock? Haven’t found it online

 

Did you lift the front of the truck all the way up and loosen the hex bolt on the collar? Clean the threads and lube them with wd-40? That collar should back off pretty easy. Also, a punch works better than the fox spanner wrench when you have RR
