Some say a battery charger on the truck is not needed while flashing . It in most cases is not ! Just like updating windows on a laptop while on battery , it is a risk and not recommended . Unless you are on the road and flashing , why not just put a battery charger on just in case ? Cheap insurance !

I highly doubt that it was the battery voltage that resulted in the failed tries, especially since the voltage reported is a difference from the others that would be considered negligible. Hell, I consistently flashed my truck uncounted times at 11.2v. There's likely another reason for the failed flashes at above 12.0v

You need a new battery if it is always at 11.2 volts. Not a cut , just saying it may be time .

Well it made a difference...didnt change anything in the process of flashing it.

It was the OEM battery. I already have a different battery, and flashed with it at 12.something volts

Point being, I'm going to doubt that being above 12v when flashing is the issue, when I successfully flashed my truck many times with subpar voltage

I was wondering that too. When I took my truck in I asked for them to do TSB-0058-18, which updates the ECU to 04B04.
The dealer did TSB-0077-16 which updated the ECU to 04B04.
Is there more than ONE version of 04B04???

There's also a 0062 or something like that available. They're all the same thing (updates for both AT and MT), although I do think I've seen comments about any differences being related to elevation, but I doubt it matters since like I said, they're all the same end result

There are two different TSBs to fix two different issues but the ECU update is the same.

So if we really don’t have the issue it won’t matter seeing the new ecu id is the same

I think that you should have a 2-4 week lead time as standard. Hold the payment for one week to let the trigger happy customers figure out if they want it or not, then ship it. If within a week of recieving it they are still happy then process the payment. I bet 90% of chargebacks can be avoided. Most small shops have a long lead time. I have been waiting on an item i ordered last november from a small shop and havent died yet.

It looks like it has been covered one for off idle hesitation and the other for 40-50 MPH surge that also updates the ECU IIRC

Finally loaded the 93 performance tune. I’m not gonna repeat all the positive comments; just know they are spot on. The tip in is perfect. I was nervous based on some comments, but damn I love it! Feels just right. I have a great feel for the skinny pedal having driven a manual for 26 years, so maybe that’s why it seems just right.

The only other thing to have satisfied me like this tune is my wife

@OVTune No words. Keep it up!

Once done, PLEASE do yourself a favor. If ANYTHING changes, update them. Otherwise you will re-live the last 10 days over and over. Also, please give the updated instructions to your wife, her friend or other un-initiated. Take note of every time they ask a question and fix it before publication.
