Installed the custom CH4x4 “off-road light” switch. Ordered it like 3 weeks ago and they sent me the wrong one. Finally got the replacement today.



Fixed my broken passenger door window switch. At some point someone broke it.

I bought a generic aftermarket eBay 5$ switch and swapped the Toyota electrical guts / exposed plastic part into the cheapy switch’s plastic housing.



Broken OEM housing on the bottom (damaged clip), OEM Toyota electrical guts / exposed plastic section on the top with the aftermarket housing.

Works perfect and looks 100% OEM. Saved a few bucks doing it this way too.

 

Installed some Auxbeam LED fog light bulbs to match my Auxbeam LED Headlights

 

Rinsed off all the red dirt and gave her a proper shine.

 

I have the 6112's set to 2.5 with the supplied 600# springs, which are heavier than stock to begin with, and it rides awesome IMO. Way, way, wayyyy better than the stock TRD offroad stuff, and they are so much more beef than 5100's. From what i understand they are setup to work and ride well on all settings, people are running into preload issues when trying to run a longer spring and use the taller positions. I weighed the options of getting a higher end coilover but i chose these for the low maintenance and ability to hold up to the weather. I have first gen tundra 5100's on my first gen taco and to me the 6112's are the equivalent of that on a 2nd gen.

Only thing i will change for foreseeable future is 650# springs from wheelers when i get a winch and slimline bumper... i have sliders and full skids now

Took mine on its longest road trip, since I bought it, to visit my family. About 150 miles each way. Also tested out the Nulaxy FM Bluetooth transmitter that I bought on Amazon for $17. Seems to work pretty well. A cheap solution to add Bluetooth to the factory stereo. Needed to be able to use Spotify and listen to podcasts ha.

 

Is that a short CB whip where your FM antenna used to be?

Yes it is. I use a multiplexer so it doubles as the AM/FM antenna as well.
