I've got something going on with my steering I think...It feels different...Like there is a subtle stiffness or delay in the power steering taking effect...When you're driving and you start a turn or change lanes on the highway it "feels like" manual steering just for a second and then the power feels like it kicks in...I looked at all the steering hardwardware/connections and they all look good. Power Steering fluid is good and the motor is working fine. I can turn it left right while parked with the hood up and nothing seems wrong...It just feels stiffer/stickier on initial turning...Once you're turning it feels fine it's just the micro corrections when you're on highway curves etc...That's the best I can describe it...

    Thoughts????

Creek Stewart and...somebody else...I've watched a couple of episodes. It's...interesting, but it would be better without the bickering, lol.

Could be what a member mentioned a few days back? I had to change my intermediate steering arm because I was experiencing all those things you said and also binding up a little off of complete stops ie red light pull forward and turning.

    In ascending order of difficulty/cost
    1) Check your tire pressure
    2) Grease/check your ball joints & tie rods
    3) Check your alignment
    4) Have a shop check your steering pump and rack.

But, I'd put my $$ on your power steering pump going bad.

Did you change it out yourself? Difficult? found this https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...steering-shaft-replacement-and-review.544954/

No problem. Happens all the time. It's expected :) It's an online name I've used for a looooong time going back to when the first battlefield game came out.

No , my truck came with a warranty up to 90k miles so I brought it in and they fixed it. Got a loaner because I needed to make it to work( only like taking days off if I’m sick, really sick, or doing something enjoyable. Can’t imagine it’s that difficult.

That funny because 2142 is the ONLY one I never had...I remember feeling rushed out of BF2 into 2142....I was still 100% loving BF2 and in a 'clan' that was playing all the time on a couple of incredibly popular servers...the 2142 servers weren't getting the same players/traction. BF2 armored fury came out in July 2006 and 2142 in october 2006...So I was solidly playing BF2 until BF:BC2 came out in 2009...

I haven't purchased V yet..I loved BF1 and have been on a self imposed gaming hiatus for a bit after racking up many....many hours on BF1...
BTW I would 100% bet that it's that U joint issue...after reading people's accounts it sounds just like it...After the f#$%^ng party I had getting my rusted wheels apart for brakes/rotors/wheel bearing I can't imagine I'll get that thing off in less than 3 hours...I'll have to take a peek and see if I can see some play. I think the last time I was as the dealer they mentioned it...

This is what I was talking about earlier with my boots and the idea of loading the insides of them with grease through a little hole.
I checked out a thread about this and a member, crow horse, mentioned that he cuts off the bottom of the boot just above where the zips go and let’s them just hang like a skirt. For the most part I want to keep debris from entering in from the top.

I just keep spraying mine with a dry film lubricant...... I'll get around to replacing it someday.. I'm just afraid it'll be fubar'ed and I'd be stuck then. For now spraying it monthly along with my other monthly spraying (UCA/LCA/Suspension/Truck/Frame/Everyfuckingthingisrustingforfuckssaketoyota../etc)

The u-joint isn't able to be pressed out? What keeps the u-joint in place?
