I'm assuming you mean 275/70/17 and not 16? Thats what i'm looking at going to. Mounting on the basic FJ steel wheels for a "utilitarian" look and more offset.

I was going to say that you could just drill through both. But depending on where they go under the frame they may not interfere.

I for one will never modify, hack up, or drill through the factory frame that's insanity :anonymous:

You're at your limit then. Unless you want to cut, then you can fit up to 37s.

ahhh ok i see that the KO2's come in that size. I was looking at either Wildpeaks or Cooper S/T Maxx which don't come in 275 on a 16" wheel, so thats why i was confused

From what I have read if you dont off road you can run 33s as long as you keep it mostly asphalt and dont turn super hard going over bumps. Otherwise a common size is 265/75r16 (31" tire). Better than 33s for MPG but still enough tire to do some mild stuff with no rubbing. Add a spacer and it will only rub on easily removable plastics. Which is what I currently run, 265/75r16 with 1.25" spacer.

Did you know that everything needed to change an axle fits under the back seat including the axle?

    -CV axle
    -pry bar
    -35mm socket
    -both axle seals (r & l)
    -breaker bar

i do a lot of rock climbing and camping which involves at least some mild off road at times. i would definitely be up for 1.25" spacers i was checking out your build thread and i like your stance with the spacers.

I added a little old school flair to my tailgate with this subtle matte black ( T O Y O T A ) decal. I took off all four chrome badges, then I did a 2-step paint correction on the tail gate & added the decal followed by a couple coats of sealant then wax. Turned out great, I think! The decal is from eBay, Very easy to find.
