The previous owners of our house were two older gay guys, who used the garage for a gym and family gatherings...they had fucking carpet down when we moved in...ripped that shit up real quick after a few months of the vehicles bringing in water and dirt.

This is the photo from the listing of our house:

Yeah...not overheating any smoothie shock bombing down an access road to a trail head around here so no resi's needed. Out west blasting through the desert for longer stretches is a little different story, but out here it's almost all woods wheeling where shock volume is not an issue with fade.

Fucking hell...I'm pulling my hair out trying to sort this all out in my head and haven't even started ordering parts yet.

If the damn AG towers were half the price (which they should be), all would be good...and apparently the Ford towers have shit clearance on the shock even with 3.5BS wheels.

I'll probably rub a bit on my 2.5s with 3" BS especially when I go to 37s may end up needing 2" spacers. Just the way I set the shock up. I read through the stuff on tridents thread I've got mixed opinions on some of what they are saying. BAMF towers are good and relatively cheap. Can modify them possibly to run 14" shocks

I really want to test my brother's 14's in the BAMF holders before he hacks them up. Because science mostly..

Oh the spare tire carrier is gone i left the bracing in. I'm just going to to add to the factory stuff. Screw all that extra hacking and making new stuff. Those factory braces aren't that bad really.

My DOM arrives today or tomorrow. Once the move is done, I wanna get back on mods. I have SO much to get done haha frame bracing and a new crossmember/crossbrace is on the list.

I did a crossmember right above the axle for limit straps I'll be doing some more later. Getting a welder and tubing bender and some more epic mods will begin.

Maybe I’m a tard, but wouldn’t it be better to have the top of the shock mounted in the orientation of the ford towers. That would allow for a better side to side movement that the shock will experience while the axle is being articulated?

I might be over thinking this.

If I do it, would not want to run the BAMF and 12” shocks. No point and I’m not going to be a guinea pig and try to see if 14’s would work either.

My plan is to hack the spare tire carrier out and have an X brace welded in it's place.

A welder is on my list for the new place since I will now have a garage I can fit into. Shits gonna get real now.

Yes and no there are benefits to running the mounts parallel and perpendicular to ea. other but that's a whole other conversation.

I would have a hard time explaining it in words vs. showing.
