I just changed the oil in the rear diff. (limited slip) and now its making a rubbing, dragging noise when turning. 2006 Tacoma 4x4, v6, 6 speed manual, 40,000 miles. I used Valvoline gear oil that had "Limited Slip" on the label. Any ideas??

Cool you have a manual. I just couldn't get one. Everyone has automatic. I hate automatics.

Yes, you should be able to get the additive at Napa, Pep, etc.

    Pete,
Add the LSD additive like Chris stated. Then take the truck to an empty parking lot and make about 10 full circles slowly to the left and 10 full circles slowly to the right to get the additive worked back into the clutches and you will have no more problems. :D

Thanks! I'm doing mine today. Yes the truck runs great no weird noise or anything like that. Did you use synthetic gear oil?

O no you dont get noise, just you won't get power distribution to both wheels.

Yep synthethic, but read the thread Janster posted.
It took some time to figure out what works with that LSD due to Toyota forgetting to include info in FSM.
I am running Mobil 1 Delvac with two bottles of GM limited slipp additive.
