My truck isn't my DD so I could take my time with trimming and re-gearing

Do the trimming in an afternoon, never clean up the cuts, put the 35s on same time, and then don't regear for a long time.

I heard from a friend who did it that way, that's the right way. He also didn't get an alignment for a while so he rubs a little bit in reverse.

Is the jury decided on needing UCAs or not?

    Calling marlin:
    Select sales.
    Put on hold.

Every 30 seconds - owner's voice "all our sales staff are on hold, check out our website.. blah blah blah"
2 seconds later "you're first in line, please continue to hold"

    5 seconds of music
    repeat first two things

    repeat 5 seconds of music
after 10 minutes: "you are caller number 3, current wait time is 2 minutes"
repeat first three things "all our sales staff on hold" "you are first in line" "music pla.." "you are caller number 3, wait time 2 minutes"

    After 20 minutes of holding
all the other stuff but replace "caller number 3, 2 minute wait" with "caller number 2, 2 minute wait"

This is making me feel schizophrenic.

Welp, I have a $220 credit on a future order. Better than nothing.

So if you want to order something from marlin.. pay me and I'll buy the thing. Easiest workaround for me other than finding shit on there to buy. The clutch I ordered from them many years ago is still fine. And they don't sell triple stick kits or I would immediately use it for that :(

Only other thing I can think of that I could buy is a front locker.

Sounds like you need to buy a front locker...

Gonna have to wait quite a while before I do that, but yeah I could use it for that. In the meantime if someone wants to buy something from Marlin just holler at me and I'll order it and ship to you, I guess.

    Hmm don't YOU need a locker? :D

My front locker was about that much. You could have yourself an almost free locker.

I don't see any options that are even close to that in price unless they are full time lockers.

Ah, I was looking at those but wasn't sure how the heck those worked. From the description is said 100% locked. Do you have one? If so, what do you like/dislike about it (for both off road and street use). Truck is my primary vehicle.

I love it. I was a super skeptic of them, but after much per pressure from @Justinogo snd @Snowy i said screw it and bought one. Should have bought it earlier. Whole new world of capability.

    No noticeable affects in 2wd.

You just have to drive smart in 4wd. No throttle jockeying. Stay away from full lock. Steering is heavy.

If you don’t need a front locker, then it won’t be worth the little quirks you have to put up with. But If you want to put that bitch in some shit, worth it all day. I had got to where I was out driving my truck’s capability. Front locker opened up a whole new world.

    * disclaimer *

I have no idea how it’s going to act with the shitload of extra torque from the crawler. I might be snapping axles like toothpicks. Haha. We’ll see.
