Sweet Nick! Any plans to cut a slot for a winch fair lead or maybe incorporate a receiver so you could use a winch in the front and back?

I've been skimming this thread and was wondering where you guys go around Jax/OP area for off roading? Nick's pic looks like Camp Blanding/Starke area. Is that right? I'm also looking at replacing my shocks since they are spent and would appreciate any input as I'm not very knowledgable in suspension. (I'm working on that though!) Thanks!

Closest to OP is probably Jennings State Forest. I don't know if there is any wheeling in Camp Blanding because when I tried to go with Ryan(RMB) and Bryan(RangerPeterson) it was locked.

A good contender for a replacement shock would probably 5100's but somebody that has swapped shocks can chime in.

If you are looking for places to wheel around the jax area look here
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/florida/41733-places-wheel-jacksonville-florida.html

Also there is a sand lot on the southside just south of the dames point bridge that I'll give you more info if you're interested.

Are you in OP? I'm right next to you on Fleming Island.

Thanks guys for the input. I'm having a hard time finding anyone that has 5100s in stock, but I'm going to keep looking. I'll get at you about that sand pit info when I get this shock situation fixed.

How about ordering from the internet?

I just realized that you are 2wd. If you go to the "dunes" as we call them do not go alone. You will almost certainly get stuck. That stuff is super soft.

To give you an idea of how soft it is look at how far my tires are in the sand.

Is this that place by Regency down the road from Walmart? I always see folks on ATVs riding around in there. Yea it looks like some very fine sand.

MMM...that sand looks nasty so I'll keep that in mind. Might have to give you guys a call if I'm feeling the need to get stuck and embarrassed. Haha.

I'm not lifted at all right now. It's definitely something I'd like to work toward, but I have a hard time selling my truck for a 4x4. And I found some 5100s through SummitRacing.com.

you dont have to have a 4 wheel drive to lift it theres more options for lifts with 2 wheel drives spindals swap to 4x4 and solid axle theres all kinds of options out there its just what fits you dont go and do a 4x4 solid axle swap if u dont do alot of off roading you know it pointless to do all that work and spend that amount for looks what are you looking to acomplish?

I spend most of my time on the highway or city driving, but I'm honestly just trying to prevent getting suck on the beach and I kick up a little mud occasionally. I'm not fording any rivers though, nor do I plan on it.
I'm looking for a 2.5"-3" lift since I got the truck with 235s on it instead of stock 205s and it doesn't leave much space between the tire and wheel well.

Yeah that's it. It's tons of fun with the dunes and couple of hills.

ok well you can do 5100s all around and you can adjust them to lift up your truck thats what a lot of people on here are doing its the best and least expensive way to do it or the ome kit is another one just stay away from the coil spacers they aren't worth it i have one on my truck and i hate it im going to change it out as soon as i have the money too

I think Alex may be a 5lug and I don't know if the suspensions we are mentioning will work with that.
