Yeah I did it myself over a weekend, I was quoted $500 to have them installed and said "F" that and did it myself. The hardest part was doing the heaters and coolers, so without those, could easily do it all in one day.

I purchased my kit from @jhuey8947, much better pricing than going through katzkin directly. Here's his thread:

I’m pretty sure that the limited trim on 2nd gens had leather seats.

3rd gen seats can be directly bolted into 2nd gens I’m just not sure if the electrical connections underneath mate up without modification too

For a little less you can get Cover King Leatherette covers. I know they are not popular here but they cost 400 for both rows and the grey/black ones match my grey/black interior perfectly.

That would be the distributor doing that as Toyota didn’t make a Texas Edition the distributor added those later.

I got Katzkin in mine to replace a lesser brand of leather that was falling apart after 2 years. Went all out with a custom 2-tone, red stitching, and TRD PRO embroidered:

My buddy bought a set of all-black Katzkin and installed it himself in his double cab.

Most car leather is pleather, except for high end luxury cars. Even BMW uses some eco leather that isn't really leather.

I don’t think that’s true. Most car leather is coated - the surface is essentially painted on, but the base material is still animal skin. Varies by brand etc of course. Very few vehicles offer full grain or even top grain leather.

2nd gen “leather” regardless is a synthetic material and not leather.

53,000 miles with Clazzio Seat covers and they have been awesome. People are shocked when I tell them they are covers. the fit is outstanding and they have stayed tight to the factory fabric. I highly recommend them.

Buy a new grille. Plastidip is OK but it doesn’t look as good as a paint matched grille.

Btw I also have black classios and they are my favorite mod to date

How does one go about getting the katzkins material direct? Seems like the site likes to direct me to an installer for a quote.
